I've been dying my hair forever and I always thought it looked good (even my stylist complimented me on my color), I was AMAZED at how soft Olia left my hair, how the color sparkled (not in a glittery way, in a super shiney WOW kinda way)..it definitely does not look like color from a box. my only regret is that I wish it was available in the same shades as the rest of the Garnier Haircolor Line. But, it is new, so maybe it'll happen eventually.
I wasn't as happy with Garnier Olia as I had hoped to be. The color wasn't bright and it made my hair feel dry instead of nourished. Olia is easy to apply and their is no strong smell to it. It does cover gray good.
It smelled great and I loved the idea of it having oil and no ammonia in it. I thought that it wouldn't hurt my hair but it fried the ends of my hair a little and while it did cover most of my grays, it didn't dye them the soft black that I bought. It colored them a medium brown. Not sure why, Maybe it was a bad box. It wasnt horrible. I think it would be nice for someone that didn't already have color treated hair.
I received my coupon yesterday in the mail and I was so excited I ran out to ShopRite and got my color right away I came home and got to it. Mixing the ingredients was easy and the applicator bottle was simple. It came with a black pair of gloves which in my opinion were to slippery to use luckily I had extras from when I dyed my hair last. So I used them instead overall applying and mixing was great I was able to do it with no issues and using my own gloves I got to work on the roots down to the tips. I was waiting for a burning on my scalp but guess what? THERE WAS NONE. that's right no burning at all. At first I thought oh god I must have done something wrong but after a few minutes I seen the color changing and was like WOW no burn and its working that was awesome!!!! I chose to use medium brown which was color 5.0 and although the 1 box wasn't enough for my long hair I had to purchase 2 additional boxes. Which of course I knew I would need. Overall I was very pleased with Olia the scent was incredible, easy to apply, and again no burning. I think I'm still in shock over that. I highly recommend garnier Olia to everyone just be a little cautious with the gloves cause they are slippery. Oh one last thing if you have long hair you will definitely need more then one box I used the 3 and had just a little left. I'm so glad I got to try this product it was well worth it.
Garnier Olia hair color is an amazing new way to color your hair! I love everything about it. The fact that it has no ammonia was really appealing to me as I truly hate the smell and that is something that I dislike about coloring my hair. At first I was skeptical as there are some hair colors that promise no harsh smell yet don't deliver. Olia hair color did NOT smell badly at all! I was so impressed. The color was easy to prepare and mix. It also was A LOT less messy than any other color I have used. The color went on nicely, there was enough color for my whole head and the color was true to the shade on the box. The color turned out even from roots to ends. My hair feels pretty decent too. The conditioner that came with smelled good and made my hair feel smooth and not as if it had just been colored. A++ product!
I was very excited to be invited to the Garnier Olia campaign, so the day I got the coupon in the mail I went out and bought it. I really liked the mixing process where you combine the colorant and the developer in the easy to use and hold appilcator. Initially I noticed how good the hair color smelled. It had a thick creamy texture and was very easy to apply. After washing out the hair color I noticed that my hair was very tangled and felt really dry. the conditioner that came with Olia was nice and solved the tangled problem but I felt that my hair was a little dry the day I colored it but after shampooing and using my own conditioner the next day the dryness seemed to go away. I really love the color, it is so vibrant and I notice high and low lights, it really shimmers!
I wanted to review the application process first, before talking about the end result. The kit is very high quality, from the bottles used, to the design, etc. The one thing that is keeping me from loving it is the drop-shaped Olia application bottle. Though it is cute as heck, the bottle was not designed for effectiveness. I couldn't get my hand around the bottle (and I don't have small hands), so between that and the slippery gloves (I don't know if rubber gloves might help the grip?), I dropped the bottle 4 TIMES during application. Yes, that means splattering red paint all over my off-white walls. I just couldn't keep ahold of the bottle! Besides that one (BIG) thing, the application was much like any other. Mix, squirt, spread, try not to get it all over your face and neck, wait 30 minutes. It did smell much better than other hair dyes - which is one of Garnier's promises. Lastly, I was thrilled to find out that just one kit completely saturated my VERY long hair! No need for buying two kits for one dye session, unless your hair passes your bum, you're good with one! And the price of Olia is very reasonable - $8.99 at Target. So all in all, it will depend on the end results if it's worth the fight with the odd-shaped applicator bottle. I'll be back to let you know!
My hair color is still radiating! I'm feeling young and fun again. I love this hair color dark brown.
i love it. It smells wonderful and to my surprise the color actually came good on my hair. I have sensitive scalp and when i color my hair my scalp itches for 2-3 days but i just used it yesterday and i'm fine i don't have itchy scalp. I love it. Very happy that I got to try one... Thank you Garnier
I'm so very excited to write a review for Olia! I used my coupon and got a box of Medium Blonde coloring for my hair. The instructions/guide were simple to read and understand. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did NOT make a mess of things, in between mixing the products and administering it! My bathroom usually looks like a war zone when I dye my hair but I had VERY little to clean up! 30 minutes after applying the dye, my hair was washed/rinsed and ready to go! I was so excited for my hair to dry and when it finally did, I was VERY pleased with the results! What a beautiful shade of blonde-and my hair did not look dried out or damaged. I LOVE Olia and this WILL become my permanent hair dye! A few highlights (no pun intended! lol) : *The instructions were simple to understand *The product is very thick when you apply it...I didn't have ANY dye running down my face or into my eyes like I usually do with other hair dyes *No horrible odor! *I have very long and very, very thick hair. There was enough of the dye product to take care of all of my hair. (I sometimes have to buy 2 boxes of dye at a time with other brands) I was also VERY pleased that the tube of conditioner included was more than enough to cover my hair! (most dyes give you a tiny envelope that doesn't even begin to cover all of my hair!) *One of the things that I LOVED the most about this dye was that it did NOT irritate my skin. I have TERRIBLY sensitive skin and I'm not exaggerating when I say that for DAYS after I dye my hair, my entire head itches and burns due to sensitive skin. I literally pop Benadryl for days following the dyeing of my hair to help control the itching I always experience. (yes, I DO rinse everything out) I did NOT have that problem at all with Olia and that is HUGE for me!!! I can't recommend this product enough. Give it a try, I DO think you'll like it A LOT!
