BzzAgent Glossary

The Basics

Word of mouth

The sharing of honest opinions about products, services, books, restaurants, movies, etc. between two or more people

Word-of-mouth marketing

Companies marketing along with consumers, not just at them. Consumers get to try a product and then share their honest opinions with others

BZZ®

What we call honest word of mouth spread by an Agent as a result of our campaigns

BzzAgent, Inc.

BzzAgent® member/Agent

Someone who joins BzzAgent to discover new products and services and then spread word of mouth about them

BzzAgent Jono

Yep, he's real. Jono is our Director of Agent Communications, and he's the go-to guy for Agents when they have questions, suggestions or comments. Want to share something with him right now? E-mail him at jono@bzzagent.com.

BzzGuide™

A printed educational booklet with info about the product, what we're saying about it and suggestions on when and how to spread the word

BzzActivity™

A suggested method of spreading Bzz as part of a BzzCampaign (Agents are never obligated to spread Bzz, though if they do then we ask them to follow the BzzAgent Code of Conduct)

BzzReport™

A brief but detailed recap of a word-of-mouth interaction, submitted by an Agent as part of a BzzCampaign

BzzPerks

Status

Along with Stuff, Status is how we thank Agents. When Agents complete certain activities, they help improve their Status and earn increasingly cool benefits, including earlier and bonus access to campaigns

[Miscellaneous] Bee

How we refer to the different levels of Agents, based on experience and participation. New Agents start with Solitary Bee Status, and as they improve their Status they gain increasingly useful and fun benefits

Honeycomb

What Agents get by completing certain BzzCampaign and Frog related activities, in order to improve Status and gain benefits

Early Invite

Benefit available to Agents with Carpenter Bee Status and higher. The higher an Agent's Status, the more advance notice the Agent gets when a new campaign launches. While Solitary Bee Agents don't receive advance notice of campaigns, some spots are always reserved for them

Golden Key

Benefit available to Agents with Social Bee Status and higher — Golden Keys are passes that allow Agents to join open campaigns they wouldn't normally be eligible for based on recruitment factors, such as age or gender

Stuff

Along with Status, Stuff is how we thank Agents. When Agents complete certain activities, they receive MyPoints Points redeemable for great rewards, as well as little surprises called Womlets

MyPoints

Our first rewards partner. Agents earn Points by submitting BzzReports and answering surveys, and at any time can redeem those Points for a variety of great rewards from 100+ popular merchants

Womlets

In addition to MyPoints Points, Agents can also get instant gratification with these experimental surprises. We're testing different types of Womlets to see what Agents want most, so expect anything!
