Late night shopping

What can anyone say bad about walmart. They have everything you can need from getting a new puppy to moving into your new house. Walmart has anything you need for a low price if you can find it cheaper some where else they will match that price. I love that its open 24 hours 7 days a week :) view more

I feel lucky to live in the "Walmart" ag...

I live in a small town, so shopping centers are limited.
Fortunately there's a Walmart Supercenter about 30 miles away from where I live and I find it's got just about everything I ever really need!
From food to clothes, air fresheners to video games, toys to camping gear, craft supplies to exercise equipment. . .Walmart almost always has what ever it is I may be looking for!
All this. . .and they offer GREAT prices as well!
I feel lucky to be able to live when such an amazing store exists!
I don't know what I'd do without Walmart! view more

Cheap, affordable products

I love going to walmart when I need something on a budget. Walmart sucks when you want something made out of quality materials. I always find that their furniture falls apart extremely easily. Their grocery section is pretty good though. view more

Have to be in the mood for it...

Walmart is great because they offer all you need under one roof, but their customer service is definitely lacking (probably because the employees are under paid) My biggest annoyance is that they never have enough check out lanes open and I usually spend as much time checking out as I do getting my items. view more

Love it still!

I have always loved Wal-Mart. How can you make shopping any easier? You can get your groceries, photos, electronics, cleaning supplies, paper goods, household items, grooming items, health items, lawn care, prescriptions filled and even clothes. I don't really care for most of the clothes, though. I like to get underclothes and socks there. They even sell paint and auto goods, shoes, toys, games and movies. I want to save my time and money. Wal-Mart helps me with both. view more

Love the value!

I absolutely love Walmart. The prices are great, the selection is good, the people are helpful. I know it is a bit croded sometimes, especially around the holidays, but it is a great store to find pretty much everything you need. There is craft stuff, like baking products, and the prices beat out all the other stores. view more

Won't shop here anymore

I am no longer willing to support and shop at Wal-Mart. I saw a documentary recently and even though they have low prices, it comes at a great cost in many other ways - mostly to the town and employees. I'd rather spend a little more and support local shops and only go to Wal-Mart if its my last resort. view more

No longer supporting Walmart

Walmart is known for low prices, but if you search around a lot of times Target or even CVS will have items cheaper, especially with coupons. I hate Walmart because of: long lines, treats customers poorly, treats employees poorly, dirty, disorganized, food rotting in supercenters.
I would rather pay a few cents more to support stores that treat their customers and employees right. view more

The ultimate best!

I have been a Walmart shopper for years now and I have never been let down. Although there are some products that I buy elsewhere, there is also the same amount of which I purchase Walmart. I have an infant daughter and I will not buy her formula or nursery water anywhere else! The prices at Walmart are unbeatable. I have also purchased things from their online website and it was such a breeze! Navigating the website was easy for me and the ship-to-store option was a great perk! I have found a lot of great deals at Walmart over the years and I plan to continue shopping there for many years to come. view more

Walmart: High Prices, Poor Quality, & Po...

I recently stopped at a 24 hour Walmart at 8:00AM. Early morning or late at night is about the only time I will go to Walmart, other wise it is too crowded and you can't get through the isles with that many people do to the pallets of product they leave in the middle of almost every isle. It was on my way home and convenient. First off I was picking a gravy mix and I was looking at them all. I picked up a brand that was not great value, surprise surprise great value was not the cheapest gravy mix, and a lady next to me gave me a dirty look. I gave her a funny look because I had done nothing to upset her, then I looked at her basket and realized everything in it was great value. I realized she was one of those people who shopped great value only, thinking it is the cheapest. If she would actually look at the products sitting beside the great value products, she would realize sometimes great value isn't always such a great value. I then realized about halfway into my shopping, Walmart did not have everything I needed. I have noticed over the years Walmart has stopped carrying a lot of products and a lot of product sizes. Probably that way you can't compare in store and if you don't shop at other stores you would not have a clue that quite a few other stores have a lot of things cheaper. When I went to check out they had one lane open and it was a speedy check out lane for people with 20 items or less. The dozen or so of us who needed to check out all had more then 20 items. There was nothing we could do so we had to get in the speedy check out lane. A couple of people with less then 20 items were upset and the cashier, who should have called a manager and asked for more lanes to be opened, verbally stated we had to many items and shouldn't be in this lane. Sorry we had no choice since she was the only lane open and the store wasn't going to take the time or pay more employees to open more lanes. My family and I love salads and I saw that Walmart had a family size package of the brand of baco bits I like to buy. I was happy, it was cheaper to buy the larger package then two smaller packages of the same brand. I learned from that mistake. I'm taking it Walmart did not store the product properly before putting it on the shelf, it was horrible. The baco bits were not edible. It was the same brand I always buy at other stores. Now I know not to buy it at walmart again, even if the price is better on that individual product. It will be wasting money because I would just have to throw away the product and go to another store to buy it. At one point in time walmart was probably a great store, with great products at great prices, but not any more. Walmart needs to come back down to reality. I don't see walmart changing anytime soon. To many people have the mindset Wamart is the cheapest and best and refuse to even consider someone else might just be a better value. It is also sad to say Walmart is the only store some people can get to. In the city I live in Public Transportation is almost down to nothing. There are only a few bus routes left, and Walmart is on everyone of them. Walmat isn't stupid, they know how to play the game. view more

Walmart Coupon Policy

I like Walmart. I shop at Walmart at most every shopping trip I make, yet I want to make everyone aware of their new and "improved" coupon policy that isn't as good as it looks. Yes, they accept ALL coupons that have "Manufacturer Coupon" written on the top. But they DO NOT accept ALL competitor's coupons as all their signs say. I had several Target coupons that I wanted to use, since Target was out of the product listed on the coupon. When going through the checkout, the cashier called over the manager to help her. He looked at the coupon and told me that they don't accept those coupons, and even pointed to their policy sign posted near the register. I also pointed at their policy sign at the register, and stated that it says they take ALL competitor's coupons. He said I was reading the policy wrong, and they didn't take those Target coupons because they were "cents off" coupons instead of giving a specific amount for the product being purchased. So, the moral of the story is...don't try to use coupons at Walmart for competitors that are "cents off". They only accept coupons that state a specific price, even though that's not what their policy specifically states. Walmart sucks when it comes to defining their policies to fit their own needs. view more

Layaway......?

I was thrilled when I heard that WalMart was bringing back layaway for christmas. Then I read all the rules and was very disapointed! I don't mind the service charge, other stores have that also. What erked me was the fact that each item has to cost atleast $15 and the items HAVE to be from TOYS, ELECTRONICS or JEWELERY! Now that's just not right! What about clothing, housewares and sporting goods!? It seems to me that they only want this for big ticket items and for only a small protion of what alot of people actually buy as gifts! I think I'll go to Kmart or Target, they allow EVERYTHING to be put on layaway! Sorry WalMart, just to many restrictions!!!!!! view more

Walmart

Will Walmart ever win over the #1 spot in my heart over Target? I think they just did! While I cannot argue that Target is generally cleaner and has more helpful staff Walmart is more suited to my needs now more than ever. I have spent the last few months couponing and have started to realize just how much trouble it can be when stores try to fight you about coupons you are using. Walmart has lower prices than almost any other store and has been excellent to work with because tey do now give me a hard time about using coupons. view more

Walmart is a one stop shop

I like Walmart because they do price matching. That is the only way I will shop there. Why Walmart

I really do not like Walmart, I try to avoid shopping there at all cost. As for people that say what a great value and it is cheaper than all of the other stores? Have you learned to price compare? I am not saying that they do not have some items less expensive than other stores, but then they also have items they are charging quite a bit more than the other stores. My issue with Walmart though is not the prices. It is the quality. Quality of product, and service. The meat section never looks fresh, nor does the bakery or deli for that matter. The one time I purchased a meat product I had to return it as well as the item I replaced it with had to be thrown out. Any time I have had to return an item I have had to wait in a 30 minute line. The last time I tried to buy something with a coupon it would not scan because it was a large amount off. The CSR took 15 minutes to come, and then told me that if I wanted to get the item that matched the coupon. I picked up the item to show him it did match, he then told me the coupon is valid, but I can not accept it because it will not scan. So I repeated, " Your telling me the coupon is valid, and I have the correct product but you will not accept it?" He informed me I was correct. So I went to Target, bought same item with same said coupon and the coupon scanned with out issue. I emailed the company, and the manager called me back, she apologized making excuses that were poor excuses. view more

My favorite store

Walmart is one of my favorite stores. I shop there at least twice a month. I love the organic items in the grocery section, my allergy medicine is cheaper here than anywhere else, and they have a large variety. I really don't enjoy shopping for leisure so its great to be able to go to one store for many different needs. Lucky for the 3rd star.

If it wasn't for the somewhat great prices they have, then this would be a model company on how "not to do business". Walmart.Com rocks!

Over the past year I have gained some weight. At the begining of summer I realized that I did not have any shorts or capris that fit me properly. I have always had problems finding bottoms because I do have a round butt. After going to store after store and spending hours in dressing rooms I still could not find anything that fit me well. I went onto Walmart.com and ordered so many different things. Many of these things were out of stock in my sizes at the stores. When the items arrived I found more than enough that fit me correctly and comfortably. The items I chose not to keep were easily returned to the store for a refund back to my credit card as if I had purchased them in the store to start. I totally recommend Walmart.com and the clothes. view more

Good prices, bad customer service

I'm not sure how I feel about Walmart. It's one of those companies that hate to love, or love to hate. Their corporate policies stink, but you can't argue with the prices. I live in a very small town, with 2 Walmarts within 9 miles, and 1 going up as we speak about a mile from my house. Although Walmart is generally less expensive than neighborhood grocery stores, I will not start shopping for my groceries at Walmart. No, no, and NO!

In my area, Walmart is actually one of the more expensive stores, maybe since it's a tourist location (Disney Orlando). However, if they choose to charge more, they can at least provide better quality. Recently, I purchased a box of Lipton tea at Publix, on sale, for just 99 cents! It depends on what you are going there f...

Did you ever hear the phrase - "You get what you pay for?" Yea? Well this store is a prime example of that. In today's economy sometimes you just can't afford the good stuff. When that happens you have to lower your standards and make due with what you can afford, just don't expect it to last a long time. The thing I shop at Walmart for the most is Groceries and paper products, because they do have the best product prices, due to their business model. As far as anything that I need to be dependable, probably not my first choice. view more

i love walmart

i love walmart - say what you will about the controversy over employee treatment and pay - it is a great store. the one in my neighborhood is big enough to put 2 of the others around the area in it is so big,. i have been shopping there for 5 years and have gotten to know many of the employees personally over those years. there are rarely new faces so the fact that the ones i know that work there say they are treated well in their store says alot. there is a handicapped man that works the front door as a greeter who could stay home and make more money on ssdi says he loves his job! this is one of the only chains that does not give you a hard time about coupons and how many you can use or if the coupon exceeds the value of the item they just take the overage off your total bill! that is pretty awesome especially when most stores are now limiting how many coupons you can use and you get hassled and have to fight with them about it. so between the awesome employees and the great prices and coupon policies you just can't beat it. i have heard people say they would not step foot into a walmart because of perceived employee mistreatment is their loss. they should get to know some of them - i think they would find out differently and who does not want to save money - especially in this economy! view more

Good Prices, An Okay Store

Walmart isn't really my favorite store to shop in, and that's mostly because they always seem to be "renovating", & it tends to be a search to find what I'm looking for whenever I go there. Just when I get familiar with where everything is, they change it around again. One department (such as cosmetics) can be in 2 completely different areas of the store. They do have the best prices on some things, though, and that's what keeps me shopping there. I always bring a list so I can get what I need, & get out of the store as quickly as possible. Customer service at our area Walmart stores is always quite good, & the store is usually clean & well-stocked, although they don't carry a lot of the brands I buy. All in all, though, it's an okay place to get some of the things you need at a good price. view more
