Love the books a little more than the tv... I am obsessed with the books, I read the books before I watched the first season of True Blood. Great series! A family member got us started on this show when they were watching it while we were over. They lent us the first season on dvd and we quickly went through them and moved on to the second season. We then were able to catch it on tv rather than dvd once we got caught up. I cant remember which season we didnt enjoy as much but it definitely got better once it got past that season - so keep on watching if this also happened to you ;) view more	Nov 4, 2011	22
Waiting sucks! I first watched the True Blood season 1 on DVD and fell in love with the characters. They are completly different than the book series, but they have become so amazing over the last 4 seasons that I can't hardly wait for the next season to start to see what happens next! OMG best show ever This has been the best series on TV on a long time. Season 4 was the best. It was great to see the storyline take that turn for all the characters. I look forward to next season. True fan of True Blood I am in love with this show and the books. I like both in their own way. I love how the show let you get to know some of the not so big characters in the book. Like Lafayette. The only thing I don't like about the show is the way the vampires die. Getting out of Control I have to admit. Completely hooked. The characters pull you in...they are beautiful, tantalizing, thrilling......every girl wanted to be Sookie! But, this last season with the witches got a little long....too many things all happening only in this little town...now I know the Aliens usually go for out of the way places...but for Fairies.....Vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters, mediums, witches and body possession to all happen in this place all at once. Even my husband likes this show now When I first heard about True Blood, I was thinking: "Vampires? Again?". After all, Twilight was not quite up my lane, and I only watched it because it was on while I was flying in a plane. When I spent time visiting a friend in Chicago I had a lot of time on my hands during the days and he suggested watching True Blood on his on Demand HBO. At the time it was the first season, and I thought okay, I'll do him the favour. I stayed five days...and in those five days I watched the full season. I was hooked. When the second season was on, I tried to explain my husband who is not really a big Vampire fan either what this series is about. I asked him to give the show a chance, for the first episode. Ever since True Blood has become a highlight of our TV schedule and we are both bummed that we have to wait another year for the next season. So Creative THis so is so creative, if you miss an epoisode you can get lost from the story, so much happens so quickly !! We were totally addicted And were sad when it ended. Towards the end it seemed to get a little weird and I didn't like Eric at all when he lost his memory. True Blood I wasn't sure about the first episode, but the second episode of season 1 had me hooked. I told my husband that Sunday nights for one hour during the summer, he had to find another TV to watch while this show is on! I bought all three seasons and am anxiously awaiting the 4th season on DVD. ALthough, I was slightly disappointed in the 4th season. It was good, but not nearly as great as the previous three. I read them like I can't get enough. I like how they are so different from the series, so it's like I am almost watching/reading two different versions of the book/show. The books are great, the television show... If you aren't experiencing vampire fatigue, this is a great series to get hooked into. The book series is mostly fluff without a lot of substance, but it makes for a wonderful beach/Summer read. The TV show is just awful. It's basically pornographic. I don't consider myself prudish, but the sex scenes are gratuitous and unnecessary. The television show follows the story line of the books and adds a bunch of sex-related story lines. Addictive Show I've faithfully watched this show since the first season. It's a great vampire series - bloody, thrilling, sexy and extremely addicting. I can't wait for the next season. The writers have done a good job at keeping the story compelling. Mind you, I know that the show has not kept true to the Sookie Stackhouse books (but for someone who hasn't read them anyway - it really didn't matter). Great show, but keep the kids out of the... This cable series is a great show - but seriously, keep the kids away! There is nudity, sex, vampires, witches - you name it - all of which is what I love about the show. Is it believable? No, not really. Does it matter? Nope, not a bit. True Blood TV The best show this summer! I love True Blood the HBO series. I don't ever miss it and it's so neat that HBO had several really neat promotions going on their site like the video where you can incorporate your friends from facebook and trueblood or phone call reminder to watch the show. I must admit; at first I did find Anna Paquin's voice very irritating --but she lighten up on the southern access as the series progressed...that was a close call since I almost missed watching this very entertaining show! I did read the books but found out that it really did not follow the same compared to the show and I definitely prefer the show over the books. True Blood ... OK I live True Blood ... to some degree. I read the books long before i ever watched the show, actually i started last week. I have watched season 1-4 in a week. The story kinda follows the idea of the story in the books but by the time i go to season 4 except for maybe 1 thing and characters names nothing was even similar to the books. i love the books so much and was so disappointed in how different the show was to the books. Good Bloody Fun! I started watching this show when it first started, but I had my premium movie channels cancelled after I was only 2 episodes in. Now, after missing so much, I've decided to catch up and start all over again. I recently joined Blockbuster Online during a promotion for 2 months at half price, so I'm starting off with True Blood Season 1. Just watched the first disc today and waiting on more to come! Best Show Ever! I one have always loved the vampire love stories. To have an actual in touch with reality show that mixes in sexy vampires was much needed and this show did it. The characters in the show keep things interesting and keep you on your toes.
