Tarte's Lights, Camera Action mascara

I have tried so many mascara's. Tarte's Lights, Camera Action mascara in my opinion is the BEST!!! Stays put all day and is easy to take off at night. Plus, they are a natural cosmetics line. I feel like I'm doing something "good" for my lashes when wearing it!! I buy mine at Sephora. view more

Excellent Ingredients, Excellent Pigment...

I am a HUGE fan of their eyeliners and blushes! I purchased the amazonian clay gel liner a month ago, and I still have over half the product left despite constant use. The gel liner provides excellent pigmentation and stays put throughout the whole day--from 8 AM to 8 PM, my eyeliner doesn't smudge or flake!
The blushes come in beautiful colors that would match any skin tone. I am not impressed with Tarte eyeshadows, but their other products are amazing! view more

Tarte - Smoldereyes

I order the Tarte SmolderEyes Trio on QVC and I really love them. They are waterproof and stay on all day long!! Which is really hard to find. I think I have oily eyelids so most eye liners are gone by the time I leave work, but not these. They stay until I take it off. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great STAYING eyeliner. view more

Tartes = smart

This cheek stain is such a pretty color and would be flattering on all skin colors, but it will show up more on light to medium skin. (for darker skin it will give more of a dewy look to the cheeks)
I love how the formula isn?t too greasy, yet glides easily on the skin! This would be perfect for fall and winter when your skin tends to get more dry. If you have oily skin though, skip this as it will be too shiny?. view more

Best Blush- ever

I'll start the review by saying this- I don't love every product Tarte has. Despite its cult-classic status, I'm not a fan of their bronzers, nor of their mascara. HOWEVER- their new Amazonian clay blush line is truly perfect. I have tried almost every brand out there (including the much-loved Nars), and Dollface is the best color, texture, and staying power of all. Lasts quite a long time and is well-worth the price for a color that delivers a natural flush! view more

AMAZING BRAND

I ordered a set of Tarte products on Ulta.com, and was amazed at the quality of everything! The set came with the Amazonian clay blush, Lights, Camera Lashes mascara, lip gloss, eyeshadow quad, eyeliner and a double ended brush. Nothing in the set was a disappointment. I also just ordered the Tarte Vanity limited edition that I just got today, that seems amazing as well. I have never been disappointed in a Tarte product. I LOVE all of their bronzers. Just the most beautiful shades with the perfect amount of pigmentation. They're smooth, buttery, and so beautiful on the skin. It just occurred to me yesterday that I am using tarte products for just about everything. Tarte amazonian clay tinted moisturizer with spf 20, tarte cheek stain, tarte lipfusion and tarte concealer. I love Tarte Cosmetics! They are one of my favorite brands of makeup and even though they are not completely natural, their products are better for you than the majority of other cosmetics. I have a wide range of products from them and I really enjoy all of them. They make wonderful eyeshadows as well as blushes. I just picked up a gel liner and I'm really enjoying that as well. Tarte for a healthier life!

Since having kids, I've become more conscious of the products I use in the home, on our skin, and the foods we eat. Many mainstream products contain ingredients which can lead to poor health, including cancer. On a quest for a quality, but good-for-me foundation, I tried Tarte, and love it! The ingredients are proven to be as healthy as makeup can get. view more

tarte equals smart

An excellent quality foundation and has great coverage, sunscreen and is long lasting. My only problem is the shades - I am light enough to require the Ivory but it is too pink based and the buff is perfect as it is yellow but too muddy/dark for me (my most suited shade is the Photoready in vanilla but the sparkles look revolting), lately I have been mixing colorstay in buff and ivory half and half but it still ends up being a bit muddy/pinkish for me. Will finish it up but wont purchase again - Release a Vanilla shade in this (like the photoready minus sparkles) and you will have a life-long customer! view more

Tarte mascara is great

I have used Tarte's Lights, Camera mascara for about a year. It's been one of the best mascaras I've ever used. It lengthens my lashes and gives them thickness & volume at the same time. The only thing I've found negative about it is that it smudges. I could probably try the waterproof formula but it has been sold out over the last couple of times I stopped at Ulta, so I just never tried again. view more

Tarte is tops

I've tried so many brands of makeup I should have stock in the industry. It wasn't until about two years ago that I finally tried Tarte, and since then it's been the one line I turn to consistently. There really isn't much not to love about their products. The cheek stains give the most natural looking blush, the primers keep makeup looking fresh all day, the mascaras are simply amazing, and I can't say enough about the eye products. The palettes offered are my favorite. The shadows go on smoothly and stay put - no creasing or fading. The eye liners come in varying sizes from incredibly fine to chunky and also have incredible staying power. I'm sensitive to several ingredients in health and beauty products, so that's part of the reason I am always trying new brands, to see if it might work. With Tarte, I'm not worried about reactions or breakouts. I know that every item I purchase is of fantastic quality and natural ingredients. I would love to see Tarte come out with a full skincare line. view more

Lifted natural eyelid primer

I was an UDPP junkie until I got fed up with the bottle design, I then moved on the NARS and that the smudgeproof eye primer would become my HG -- even the highly touted Too Faced Shadow Insurance didn't come close. That is until I found this primer from tarte. It has amazing staying power and my eyeshadow applies flawlessly and the color really stays on. I used this one night when we went out and we got home so late that I didn't feel like taking my makeup off, so I went to bed with my makeup on (a big no, no I know)and I couldn't believe how my eyes looked in the morning. It almost looked as if I'd applied it recently. None of the other eye primers have ever come this close! I am amazed and will definitely be buying a full sized version when I run out of my current size. view more

Amazonian Clay Discovery Set

I got the Tarte-Amazonian Clay Discovery Set and i cannot say enough great things about it! to begin with it comes in a gorgeous purple bag with silver lining, it is a nice size bag. then the next thing i love is the clay eyeliner! it lasts all day on me without transferring to my upper lid or fading off like most eyeliners. then i love the blush, it is a bright pink color with glitter, i personally dont love the glitter on it but i tap my brush and most of it comes off, it does last about 8 hrs and i have had an issue with that before because i have very oily skin and this blush actually lasts about 8 hrs on me which is amazing. the shadow clay stick is an amazing base for any bronzy shadow, i especially like it under naked lunch by MAC and it doesn't fade or crease on me. Definitely recommend the whole set, which is a bargain and you do get good sizes on the products. i wasn't into tarte but this set has made me love their products! view more

tarte Waterproof Clay Eye Liner

I have been known to really get myself into trouble when I?m up late watching QVC at 2am. It?s impossible for me to resist a beauty presentation on a home shopping channel. My boyfriend rolls his eyes in disgust as I sit there, glued to the television LOL. Well, Tarte was the lucky brand that got my attention a few nights ago. They were presenting a trio of waterproof clay eyeliners for $29 in black, sage and bronze. They arrived in my mailbox today and I am THRILLED!
The packaging was lovely, a long application brush and three liners in glass pots and encased in a gold-foiled box. The application brush comes with two ends. A thicker blending end and a long, skinny bristled end for precision lines. I always have issues applying my liner smoothly, I was actually worried I wouldn?t be able to apply this stuff well. Boy was I wrong. The clay formula is sooo fabulous, it just glides right onto my lid with super clean edges. I?ve never been able to apply a pencil liner this well. The pigment payoff is FANTASTIC! One little dip with the brush and you can glide straight across your lid without losing pigment. As long as you keep the pots well sealed, you?ll be able to get hundreds of applications from these three liners.
By the way, they weren?t joking about the waterproof thing. I swatched these on my arm, THICKLY swatched at that, waited about 5 minutes and they are not moving whatsoever. I?ve rubbed the crap out of them without a budge. Very, very cool. view more

Natural and Gorgeous!

Tarte ROCKS!!! I fell in love with Tarte early last year while searching for a good mascara. I love their whole line of makeup. They not only have great promotionals, but all of their makeup is natural and eco-friendly! I'm a huge supporter of taking care of the enviroment, but often times "natural" makeup brands are either gummy and unworkable or just as bad for the enviroment as other brands. Tarte is very different! The makeup lives up to the promises, and really does make your skin look amazing. Plus, they really care about taking care of the enviroment. I will be a Tarte fan for life! view more

All Things Tarte

I love all things Tarte. Quite simply Tarte Cosmetics has the all around best brand of cosmetics on the market. I have extremely dry post chemo skin, that can get red and blotchy. Weather it is foundation, eye shadow, blush or mascara I get great coverage. The brushes that Tarte includes with the product are not the standard throw away brush, they are some of the best brushes that I have ever used. Cheek Stain in Tipsy

This was my first, and is still my favorite, cheek stain. I have pink cheeks, so I tend to avoid blush, but I'm really glad I tried this. The peach-y color looks wonderful on (I'm light skinned with warm undertones) and it glides over and blends into my liquid foundation very well. It being in stick form makes it much easier to control, so if you, too, aren't very experienced with blush, you'll probably like this a lot more. I have used it over and under powder and have never had a problem. And a few moments after putting it on, you can't even feel it there. I actually prefer this to my AC blushes (which I bought because this stain helped open up the world of blushes to me), although that's probably going to get me tarred and feathered ;) view more

Amazonian Clay Balancing Foundation

I really, really wanted to like this. I even ordered two off of QVC. I really seemed to be the perfect type for it--oily, acne prone, yellow undertones with pink overtones. But I don't like it, not at all. I'm NC15 (light skinned with warm undertones) and Light is a shade too dark, which wouldn't matter (since summer is starting) if it also wasn't a bit orange-y once applied.
I tried it on multiple times and wore it for long periods for a few days and couldn't even get medium coverage out of it, no matter what technique/brush I used. It also tended to fade within a few hours (no matter what primer I used and especially without primer) and definitely didn't have any mattifying powers. This was really surprising because I own a ton of other Amazonian clay products which are all very long lasting.
Someone on a makeup message board said it's basically like a tinted moisturizer and this is pretty much true for me, except I think the tinted moisturizers I've tried still last longer. I'm giving it two stars because it didn't feel bad on and didn't break me out anymore than any other new foundation would. Also because the brush it comes with is pretty great. view more

EmphasEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bro...

I received this in a set on QVC. I'm NC15 (light skinned with warm undertones) with near-black eyebrows and bought Medium Brown, which is a nice in between--doesn't look too light against my hair or too dark against my skin. It goes on well, stays on a long time, doesn't migrate or fade. My eyebrows are thick, but I have a few sparse parts and this really helps to define them. The included brush was standard Tarte quality and very good for applying it. As the name suggests, it has a mousse-like texture, so while it looks like the eyeliners it doesn't feel like them. view more

Tarte Treasure Chest Holiday Palette Lim...

I actually got this palette because I won a sephora giftcard giveaway. I'm not a sucker for packaing but when I saw this it got my attention. The silver bejewled cover got me then when I opened it up I was in awe. The colors of the shadows, blushes, and lip glosses had me at hello. Not only does it have those it has a bronzer and highlight. The top layer has 16 shimmery shadows, 16 matte shadows, 16 glosses, 4 blushes, 1 highlight, and 1 bronzer. What's great about getting all of those is that there all pigmented. The colors range from light to dark. You can create a neutral look or a shimmery look. The glosses are good but I haven't really used them because if I want to go out I can't carry it with me cause it in a palette. The blushes are great it has a silky texture. All in all it's a great palette for the price of $52. view more

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush

I recently purchased an item from Tarte's new line of amazonian clay products. I got one of the pressed blushed in the shade called Exposed. This product really is exceptional compared to other blushes I have tried. Granted, I've never spent a lot of money on higher-end blushes so this was my first purchase from a more expensive brand, but I've only been hearing good things about this blush line. tarte clean slate face primer

I seriously think this product is way under rated. It is super matiffing yet doesn't tighten up the skin at all. I think it should be best for combination to oily skin for controlling oil. Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara - AWESOME...

This is the best mascara I have ever used. I have been on the prowl for a really great mascara and my search has finally come to an end. I have tried MAC, Smashbox, Benefit, Too Faced, and others and this one tops them all. The formula goes on smoothly, the color is nice and dark, it looks as good at the end of the day as it does when I out it on, and my lashes don't fall out when I take it off. Most of these have dried up quickly, but I have not had this problem with Lights, Camera, Lashes. I have read other reviews that say it is hard to remove, but I think that is the type of remover they used. I use one of the oil-free ones that you have to shake up to mix and it works wonderfully. I definitely recommend this stuff!!! view more

2010 Jewelry Box

This review is for the 2010 Jewlery Box. I bought this with my $20 off $40 VIB reward at Sephora, so it only cost me $37 with tax. I have had mixed feelings and would honestly give this a 3.7 and rounded up. As I use it more, my rating may change either way.
I love the colors as many palettes seem repeats or easily dupe-able, but this comes with some really unique possibilities to complete a collection, especially with the matte shades. The eyeliners are creamy and long lasting. The glosses are smooth and are pigmented. I love the bronzer, which I have from other kits, and the (new) highlighter.
I have only a few complaints: First, a few of the "shimmery" shadows aren't actually shimmery or even pearls for that matter. Might as well call them matte.
Second, the matte colors are a little powdery. However, they are pigmented and when the excess is tapped off and applied over a primer, they really are nice. The matte shadows cause another issue which is whether or not I will *actually* use them. I'm thinking I will as I'm learning to put them in more of my looks. I have found that the matte ones are easier to work w a fluffier brush rather than a stiff or flat brush. I am using them more and more. I even used them w/out a primer and got great color and staying power. Love!
Third, the drawers drive me nuts. Haven't had any real issues, I'm just not a fan. They're easy to take in and out for me.
The gold box is heavy, sturdy, and bulky. Not exactly portable but is nice to have on your vanity. I think it's worth what I personally spent on it and maybe more since the shadows and powders are full size. That plus the uniqueness and blendability of the shadows, and the great glosses, I'd say it's a good palette and worth full price. view more

Tarte Cheek Stain in Flush

I'm not really a blush person, so I only use this when I'm going out with friends, to dinners, on special occasions...stuff like that, which is good considering its an expensive product but will probably last me years at the rate I use it. haha. Its actually a gel blush instead of a cream or a powder and the container is pretty much like those push-pop ice creams I used to have as a kid. Basically, you just dot it on your cheeks a few times and blend it in with your fingers. It creates a nice, natural looking flushed look. Only downside to this product is that it doesn't last too long on the skin, so I usually use my primer when using this. view more
