Best Ever! My family loves star wars! I recently got into the dailybzz campaign for the trilogy set for star wars. My family is so excited to see this classic movie re done with never seen footage. Love Star Wars!! I loved Star Wars as a kid. I was obsessed with it. I had coloring books, dolls, the fighter jets, the figures..ect. I can't remember all of them.. The movies were the best series set in the 70's through the 80's. And they sill are, that is the original ones. The new 3, are ok, but do not have the last flavor the 3 older movies gave me. I will always love them, and it is funny to see your kids get into the movies also. The toys were a big hit then and are a big hit now. One of the defining factors of my life. From the time I was three, when I sat in the back seat of my parent's car, at the drive-in movie theater, I have been obsessed with Star Wars. Albeit, at three, I don't necessarily know that I comprehended a lot of the action, but I still remember that night thirty-some years ago. It has become ingrained in my identity, my personality. Just about every aspect of my life has been informed or influenced by some iteration of Star Wars or another. The characters are iconic, legendary even. Each line of dialogue from the original Trilogy has a special place in my heart, saved there to be called forth when the moment arises. The visual scope of the original films is simply breathtaking, particularly taking into account the effects available at the time. The inventive settings and wistful plot have whiled away many of my afternoons and nights. As a child, frequently my dreams as well. Best movies EVER!!!! My husband and I are HUGE Star Wars fans, so to say we would be excited to get in on this would be the understatement of the year. Although, my Husband is still salty about Greedo shooting first we are still excited about these new releases and the changes that have been done. We have gone to see all of the midnight showings of the movies as they were released in the theatres, and we even dressed up our baby as an Ewok last year for Halloween. Star Wars Store...Gotta Love It! Who doesn't love Star Wars?! The characters, the story, the humor? All of it mixed together creates such a great time for everyone in the family! We watch our movies often, and I still laugh at the R2-D2 'screaming' parts! When I learned the new star wars store was opening at our local mall, I knew we had to attend the opening! What a dream come true for the kids to see the characters and check out the old and new Star Wars toys! Best Series Ever You are not a true Sci Fi fan if you are not a Star Wars far. This is the most Iconic and tmeless series of all time. Not only are the books fantastic but their movie alternatives are just as good. Lucas was so far ahead of his time. All these years later, with all the technical advances that have been made and you can still go back to the very fist movie and it works. The effects are amazing even in this day and age. May the Force be with You I don't remember the first time I watched Star Wars. I also can say with pretty good certainty that I have seen the movies (the classic ones) over 200 times each. Thanks to my grandmother, I was exposed to Star Wars so early in my life that it was always just a part of it. It was a comfort movie and a popcorn movie. The sheets on my bed and the toys in my closet. The dreams in my head and the attempts to move things with my mind, like a Jedi. 34 years ago this week! I can't believe that original "Star Wars" movie was released 34 years ago this week! I can say that I was one of the people who saw it in the theaters when it was originally released in 1977. Since then we've all see what's happened. The most fun thing for us over the past few years has been the Lego Star Wars games - those have been a BLAST to play. The force is in our house---Star Wars Who knew that Star Wars could be so entertaining. This latest craze for my son is captivating and such a pleasure to watch. He has costumes, action figures, planes, games, puzzles, clothes, movies, toys, computer games.. you get the point. We have family night on Friday's because "Its the biggest night of Action" on television. Pizza and fun while we watch the latest saga of the Clone Wars. He is learning to read just so he knows what he can get on the website. Tip: buy 5 action figures and you can send for a free action figure (not sold in stores) and a battle mat. My favorite past time at 5- who knew At 5 we quickly tire of toys (after a small fortune spent of course). My grandson has found Star Wars. We have light sabers in every color, costumes - not just for Halloween but fun to play in, action figures, lego sets, computer games, planes or starfighter, movies the list is endless. He loves it. Star Wars or Star Trek? STAR WARS!! Star Trek has nothing on Star Wars. All the movies, the games, the lego's, the brand itself is worth billions! I grew up watching these movies. My kids love the movies now in 2011. I have a pug named Vader due to his little black mask on his face. I have all the original movies on VHS and put away so they don't get ruined. Star Wars I am old enough to have see the original "Star Wars" movie in the theater, and I have seen all the SW movies in the theater since then. I personally prefer the original trilogy over episodes 1-3 (although #3 was very good). Hate Jar Jar Binks. My wife and I have LOVED playing the Lego Star Wars games on my PS3. Those are TONS of fun. My wife has an old-school Star Wars T-shirt from back in the day. I collected the first action figures and toys that were released back in the 70's when the first movie came out. Greatest story ever told Ok maybe not THE greatest, but definitely one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite. I like to think of it all as one giant story, the movies mainly being about Anakin and his offspring but there's SO much more to it. Epic Legacy of the Force Been hooked on Star Wars since i was a little kid. I remember when i finished watching the First 3 Movies and thought that was it. Then I started reading Star Wars Books. Then More Movies came out and more books, then another movie and the books keep coming, and not to mention all the video games. I have been trying to catch up and read and watch everything star wars for probably 22 years now. It's been just an epic story. It amazes me how everything ties into each other every book movie tv show and video game. The more you see the more you get out of other books and movies. Family Legacy As a small child, my father took me to see Star Wars. I was instantly enthralled. The story gripped me and I found the ultimate female heroine in Princess Leia. I collected the action figures, saw the other movies, was Princess Leia twice for Halloween, drew cartoons about Star Wars with my friends in jr. high. Oh yeah, Star Wars has been a major part of my life. When my son was 2, I showed him the 1st movie. He too was enthralled by the magic. He built his own lightsaber out of magic markers until I bought him one. My mother saved everything: my sheets, my action figures, my playsets. My son now enjoys all the same things that I did. I now buy him the Lego sets. We regularly stage lightsaber battles in my house. This Halloween, I'm dressing up my guys: My 4 yr old is going to be Luke, my husband is going to be Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the baby is going to be Yoda. The legacy has lived on. Took me a while ...to get on the bandwagon here! I always had a preconceived idea of Star Wars, and it wasn't a very good one. I had liked Episode 1 when it came out and I was a tween, but for me it was a standalone. A few years back, my boyfriend forced me to sit through the entire saga and I absolutely adored it. Episode 1 was in fact the worst episode by far... that is we don't count the horrible animated movie they released a few years ago which almost made me want to dash.
