My husband was born and raised in Chicago..I am a Calif native..who rarely had to venture out of my home state to have a good time..but..on a recent trip back to Chicago to see his family..we visited the Shedd Aquarium..This place is amazing..from the dolphin shows..to the hands on experience for kids..I would recommend this place as a place for a family to go for a great day...It is also close to other fun attractions in the Chicago area...
