Quorn meals and snacks are different than the other meat alternatives out there. How? Quorn is the only brand that is made from mycoprotein, a nutritious member of the fungi family, which gives its products a tastier, meat-like texture. It really makes a difference. Even better, mycoprotein gives Quorn products more than just an amazing taste and hearty consistency. It's also a good source of protein and dietary fiber, and contains less fat, calories and cholesterol than its meat counterparts.
Best Chicken Substitute!
I have been eating Quorn since living in England in 2001. I am delighted that it's becoming more mainstream in the US, as it's definitely the best tasting fake chicken product out there. I eat a couple boxes a week---anything from burgers to on salads to in stews. Completely delicious and healthy. view more & comment

Hello again, hope all is well.i was invited to a friends party over the week end in bedford ,MA..My friend is a doctor and has a very strict diet,no meat ,no soy . Everyone was requested to bring a dish.I thought what a great time to bzz about the quorn products.I made a sweet -n- sour meat ball tray, and also a curry chikn skewer with a mint chutney dipping sauce.mostly everyone there was vegetarian and every one went crazy for the dishes I brought .Out of the 23 adults 2 of them had tried the products ,but the rest had not.The quorn dishes I had made ended up being the talk of the party.I was being questioned as if I was the inventor of the product.I had explained to everyone about the products I had used and also how many others were available at the local stop and shop.Everyone was so excited to hear all the information I passed on from my Bzz Guide,as well as the coupons I conviently had in my purse.I heard many talk of the turk'y roast I told them about ,many could not wait to try out.I was a bit nervous bringing the dishes to a party that most bring things like caviar, and other very expensive fine foods, but in the end everyone wanted more.Even the few meat eaters were very impressed with the dishes.I have been thinking of some new things I can try with the Quorn products for up coming parties at the same house and for my family as well. Thanks again ! Have a great day !!

I went on a cookout and brought a package of the naked chick'n cutlets. We cooked them on the grill with a chipotle rub. They tasted pretty good - most of the people at the party liked them, though most of the guys weren't huge fans. Overall I think everyone agreed that they were a good healthy alternative to high fat meats. I'm going to try grilling them again with a bbq sauce a the next party. view more & comment

I buzzed a coworker who is a vegetarian, she is always looking for new products to incorporate into her diet. I told her about the great taste of the Quorn "meats" and that it was made from mycoproteins. She was interested and went out and bought the chick'n nuggets. She then told me that she didn't eat them because they contained egg products and she is vegan and doesn't eat any animal products. view more & comment

First let me say this was a very hard thing to Buzz about. It was very difficult to find Quorn in my area. I personally love the taste of it but am not sure I would buy it again due to the price. So it was very difficult for me to buzz about this because of both those issues. I did have a friend over on Friday night. She went to get ice cubes out of my freezer and saw the box of Quorn and asked about it. I told her that it was a meatless meat with no soy. I also said that it really does have a great taste. She did not seem interested at all but I gave her a coupon just in case she wanted to try it. She wanted to know why I have Quorn in my freezer and I told her about being a Bzz Agent and that I was able to try it out for free. She did seem interested in that! view more & comment

As stated in my last bzz report, my Dad had suggested I bzz about Quorn to my Aunt. I was excited to bzz her about Quorn because she is on a restricted diet currently due to food allergies. I told her about the product and then together we went onto Quorn's website to get a better feel for the ingredients. Unfortunately she is not able to eat Quorn products because there are small amounts of dairy used in it and they were not listed as Gluten free. I was bummed that she was not able to try the products. She did ask for a coupon though so she could pass it on to her friend who does not eat meat and thought that she might like to look into the Quorn food line. Hopefully her friend will be more successful in being able to eat it! Failed attempt for a new customer but at least I tried! view more & comment

I invited my playgroup Mum's over for lunch with the kiddos. I cooked chick'n nuggets for the kids and served it with pepper strips and ranch dressing and I made the Garlic and Herb Chick'n Cutlet citrus salad for the Mum's from the flyer that came with the Bzz Kit. I told everyone that I wanted their honest feedback and put leaflets and coupons out on a side table.
The kids' plates were cleaned even by an incredible fussy eater who is a notorious grilled cheese only guy. I asked the kids their opinion and got, "Yum". "More, please" and "I liked the chicken." Fair praise from 2-3 year olds. All the Mum's were impressed at how much the kids ate and then more so when I showed them the nutritional information. My son has been eating these forever but not one of the Mum's had heard about them.
Reaction was a little more mixed when it came to their salads. Three thought the addition of rice was weird and didn't like that. Others said the texture would take a little getting used to but didn't mind the taste. Four did however say they would eat it once a week as a healthier alternative to "real" meat.
They asked me where the products could be bought. I offered coupons and all were taken.
Two days later , I got an email from one woman saying that she bought the meatballs and her husband had no idea he wasn't eating the real meat. She is definitely sold as it will cut down on their meat consumption. I called three of the girls and they had already bought the nuggets and one bought the cranberry and goat cheese cutlets for herself.
My husband is having a fundraiser on Thursday so I'm making the samosas and mini tacos for that. I'll keep you posted! view more & comment

I must admit I had never heard of Quorn before. I signed up for this campaign hoping to find something new to eat and enjoy. I like Boca Burgers and really enjoy Morningstar products. My husband and I like to stay away from meat as much as possible. We are not vegan, but feel it is not healthy to eat too much meat. The idea of something new and different to fix really intrigued me. When I saw meatballs I couldn't wait to try this new frozen item
I decided to have a small party with a few friends so we could all try Quorn at the very same time. Stop & Shop sells Quorn, but Whole Foods was less expensive. I purchased the meatballs, the grounds (ground beef substitute and the chicken nuggets. I used a sweet and sour recipe for the meatballs, fixed gyoza with the grounds adding scallions, soy sauce and ginger. I used the chicken nuggets as another appetizer, as is. I served two kinds of sauces with the nuggets. I planned a regular dinner just in case my new vegan food didn't go over.
The guests arrived and I have to say the reviews were somewhat mixed. I know at least two of my friends are going to purchase the nuggets. I would say that most everyone thought they were very good. On the other hand the meatballs were not anyones favorite. I didn't care for the texture of any of the meat substitutes. Most everyone thought the hamburg substitute had an odd flavor. Frankly, I think I will stick with the Morningstar products, which I know have more fat and calories, but have much more taste. view more & comment

I was out at my mother's house in Boylston, MA this past weekend and I was telling her about Quorn and the products they have in the supermarket (chicken tenders, ground meat, nuggets, etc.). Her fiance was sitting in the living room and kept making funny faces while I was explaining how Quorn is made out of a mushroom based protein (he's not a big fan of fungi). She seemed interested, as she is trying to eat healthier, so I gave her a coupon and told her to go try it out. I told her all about the nuggets that I had tried and loved! I'll write more if I hear back from her in the next week about whether she went out and bought them or not. view more & comment

They all said that the adults liked it but the kids didn't like it at all. Don't know why but who am I to say. I was at work eating lunch in the cafe, when I looked over at another table and saw someone eating quorn chicken nuggets. I was truely amazed, my eye's widen and then a conversation sparked. I was having the hardest time finding Quorn meats at my markets for a while. I made special trip to supermarkets that were listed on the Quorn site just to try it out, but believe it or not someone in my building had actually bought it without any buzz. I told them the whole story and she said to me that she saw Quorn products at her local wholefoods and decided to try it out. She and her kids love the chicken nuggets. she said you can tell there is a real difference in taste compared to other soy based meats. I was just happy to finally meet someone that could find the product I was trying to buzz.

I finally got a chance to go out and purchase the Quorn product. With the constant downpour of rain and a never ending cold. When i got to the supermarket there wasn't a wide variety to choose from. There were only 4 products to choose from. I choose the southwestern chik-n wings. OMG! I'm still trying to put out the fire in my mouth. Me, my mom and my dad tired them and we buzzed each other about what we thought of it. We all agreed. Spicey isn't the word. I managed to eat one. It was WAY too spicey. The taste of chicken wasn't bad. But, it didn't come with a side sauce. It would of been nice to have something to dip the chicken in to level out how spicey it was. I wouldn't buy the southwestern chik-n wings again. Don't think i could handle it. view more & comment

I shared a quorn coupon with a friend of mine who is trying to lose weight. She is trying to cut back on calories from meat, but is still looking for something filling and satisfying to the taste. I told her about quorn, my recent salads and rice dishes made with the product, and how much the chikn tastes like real meat. She did purchase the product, and liked the salad I suggested. I'm trying to get her to try them in a warm rice dish, as I think those tend to be more filling than a salad. Hopefully we can all meet our goals with a little help from quorn! view more & comment

My husband and I were going to a cookout at my daughter's for Father's day so I thought this was a good time to bring a dish using Quorn. Easy to Bzzz when the product is right there looking yummy on the table!! I made a double batch of the recipe for Tikka Masala using the Chik'n Tenders.
Well after giving a quick intro about the benefits, low fat, low cal and more fiber etc, Son-in-law John dug in first...he thought it was "pretty good" but did not like the texture a whole lot. Amanda was more enthusiastic, "oh it is really good, and I love when I can drop meat from a dish but still taste like I expect the dish to!!" She was happy I gave her 2 coupons :)
I preferred the garlic & herb cutlets better myself..but it is fun trying different ones.
I think they will give them a try also!! Her in- laws also tried the dish and both just said they were not big fans of "Indian food" oh well.....:) view more & comment

Yesterday my family was over to celebrate Father's day. my 2 daughters , son in law and husband took part in the taste test. I cooked and served the chicken garlic and herb cutlets. Lauren liked the taste but would like a firmer texture.Liz thought it was great and would serve it again for lunch. My husband thought it was ok but he is not a real fan of frozen chicken cutlets he likes only freshly made ones. Liz especially liked the dollar off coupon and lives close to Stop and Shop so she'll be picking some up.
I found the selection interesting and my try a few myself. I do think they are better suited for lunch rather than dinner. view more & comment

First I bought chicken nuggets by QUorn to make for my son. He usually eats everything but once in a while he becomes such a picky eater that he would only eat McDonalds chicken nuggets. And because I know how unhealthy they are to eat all the time I was not taking him there often. But then I was stuck with a kid who was hungry, cranky, would not eat anything else and we were all miserable. So I tried looking for alternatives to make for him for dinner. But nothing was working(especially the chicken nuggets that I was getting from a grocery store) so I was really stuck. And then few weeks ago I got the cupons for the Quorn products and saw that they have chicken nuggets (not made with chicken though) and thought I would try. I was a bit sceptical because even thought they taste pretty good - well to me they do, my son can be so picky that I was afraid he would not lik ethem. But when I actually made them and he started eating them and asking for more I was very happy! So when I got together with my friends couple of days ago I was telling them of the great products that Quorn has especially the nuggets and they were curious. I told them that my son even in the pickiets of times loved them they said they would try them as well with their picky eaters at home. When I told them that these products are made without meat they were really eager to try them. Now I'm just waiting to hear on how their kids liked it. view more & comment

I developed a soy allergy after overdoing it on a high-protein diet. Luckily, I had already discovered the great taste of Quorn products!
My husband is a serious cheeseburger kind of carnivore. However, he will eat Quorn all day long. His favorite recipe is the Quorn Buffalo Strips. Take the Quorn naked cutlets, slice them into strips, toss with a mixture of Frank's Hot Sauce and either melted butter or I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray, and then cook over a medium-hot flame.
Quorn also makes the best fake turkey I have ever had. It looks like a huge liverwurst, but trust me it is yummy. I prepare it just like a turkey, in terms of seasoning.
Quorn's unique texture is virtually identical to poultry. You will never want any other brand after this one. Thankfully, it is readily available at finer grocery stores (Kroger carries it), for a good price. view more & comment
