Super Bowl this Year? I hope! Although I grew up in the Philadelphia area, I've never been an Eagles fan. I enjoyed football well enough, but didn't have a team that I rooted for. That all changed when I went to college in Pittsburgh. Friends from the area got us (me and my then boyfriend, now husband) hooked on the Steelers and we've never looked back. Steelers have a great fan base, manageme... Am I a Pittsburgh Steelers fan? Oh yes. Why? Aside from being a consistently good team (Steeler fans are actually disappointed if the Steelers don't make the playoffs each year. It's an expectation we have of our team) they also have a pretty cool history (look it up on Wikipedia or on the Steeler site). The Rooneys are a top-notch family and owners of the Steelers making sure they set a good example for the team and the rest of the league. Married into a Steelers Family WOW! I never thought I would see the day that I would root for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I was raised a Bills fan so roots for 2 AFC teams is kinda backward espically if they ever meet in the AFC Championship game. World Champions Okay, so they didn't win the Super Bowl last year, but the Steelers are six-time winners! That's the most in NFL history! I am originally from Pittsburgh and moved to the midwest. Can't Keep a good team down! I know we've had a bit of a rough off-season, but I believe the Steelers will be back and better than ever this season. Last season left us with something to prove and I think that will play into the strategy for this season. They have some players back and healthy, some new blood and some reliable favorites. SIXburgh - need I say more? I was born and raised a Steelers fan. The team has had some of the greatest players of all time: Jack Lambert, Terry Bradshaw, & Jerome Bettis, just to name a few. They have developed tactics and have built the strongest defense in the NFL. With that, they were able to conquer team after team and win themselves 6 Super Bowl wins, an unprecedented success.
