Keeps Dog Weight Down My two dogs are anything but picky eaters, and their weight was proof. One had somehow gotten a little too hefty, and it was putting to much stress on his already bad hips. Nutro is the only brand of weight management dog food that both my dogs (the chunky one and the lean one) liked. Now, I have two athletic dogs, both with good hips. And, I didn't have to starve them to get them there. Nutro is a little pricey, but compared to the cost of hip replacement for a dog, it's a good investment. My dogs HATE it I bought a bag of Nutro, trying to find a good food for my mini dachshund and corgi. Neither one had really exhibited any pickiness to this point. However, when I opened the bag of food and mixed it with their old brand, they looked at me like I was trying to poison them. Both dogs picked out the old brand and left the Nutro to sit. I thought maybe they needed some time to adjust to it, but after a week (with no treats), they were still only eating just enough of the Nutro to stay alive. Expensive, but my picky dog loves it! Our dog is picky! We were feeding him cheaper food, but it was causing him some stomach issues. So we switched to Nutro Ultra for Senior dogs. He loves this food! When we first started feeding him, he would beg all day for it. After the newness wore off, he stopped begging so often. Dogs love it so I love it I've been feeding my two boxer/lab mixes nutro lamb and rices since i brought them home from a shelter and they seem to love it. They are both healthy and their skin and coat are great. I do think it's a little pricey, but they are worth it! view more	Aug 2, 2011	18

My cat developed Struvite Crystals After switching over to this product, my cat developed Struvite Crystals. He was on this product for 2-3 months. $500 later, he's on a wet food mostly diet, with added water, special dry food to dissolve crystals, and apple cider vinegar added to meals. My vet swears up and down that Max Cat helps with the development of these crystals. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. Boy cats are prone to them anyways, but after 6 years, it seemed fishy that soon after switching to new food, this happened. Goodbye, Nutro. BTW, I switched my cats over to this food because I received a bunch of $10 off coupons that put this food at the almost free point. So now I have 8 bags that I'm about to sell to a lady after putting an ad on craigslist. * The picture is of my boy kitty who had the crystals. Pretty good! This is pretty good food for your pet. It's definately a huge step up from pedigree and that ilk, but it's not quite Eagle Holistic. I believe the Nutro line is a fairly priced line that is easily found and often on sale, and I believe it to be worth the money. view more	Jun 9, 2011	29
Good dog food Have been feeding my dog nutro for four years. Every now and then try other brands but nothing compares to nutro. It may cost more than other brands but is worth it. I notice that when i stopped feeding my dog nutro his coat did not look as good as when I was feeding him nutro. After seeing the different it makes, I only feeding him nutro. Great dog food without the biproducts We have used holistic dehydrated dog food for years and due to the expense we decided to try this and our 2 dogs(golden retriever & vizsla) love it. My dogs are healthy and happy! My two dogs, a 12 year old Lhasa Apso, and a 9 month shit zu cross adore this food. They eat the small bites lamb abd rice. They are both healthy and happy. Reasonable Price, Great Results Nutro is a great brand. So far what I love about them the most is that they offer excellent coupons and store specials where I shop. Wonderful Product Being the owner of 3 dogs, I stand by this brand of dog food proudly. One of my dogs is extremely sensitive to fleas and dry weather. While watching our dogs for a while my mother-in-law had switched our pups off of Nutro. The one with the very sensitive skin started scratching, losing hydration, and her skin began cracking. Once I returned to caring for the dogs I placed them back on Nutro and today you can not even tell where her wounds were. Such a wonderful brand of dog food. Great Dog Food and Value I have 3 dogs and have tried many different types of dog food. I realize that there may be other brands out their that claim to be superior in qualty, but I can honestly say Nutro is the best. Healthy Dog Food Nutro came highly recommended by our dog trainer. She has dogs that compete in different events and says that Nutro doesn't have all the unnatural fillers that some dog foods put in them. Dog and Cat Food We started buying Nutro when we bought our now 3 yr old English Setter. He NEVER had any problems with it and after receiving him from Washington he had a bit of an upset stomach. Natural Choice- Sensitive Skin I have fed my dog this for years after discovering his sensitive skin- and it has made a huge difference. Its a tad more expensive then other brands but really makes a difference in him. Nutro Max I have been feeding Nutro Max puppy to my mini-dashound for almost a year now. The people at the pet store recommended it because my puppy had dandruff and this food is supposed to be all natural without corn by-products but the vet told me different. Wish still made what we had We used to buy Nutro Natural Choice large breed lamb and rice for our great dane. After the massive recall, they stopped making that particular mix and we had to switch to another brand. Please do your research!!! Learn from my mistake: do your research online before feeding this to your pet! I have a bichon poodle mix who has never had any bladder issues whatsoever. When we got a new puppy, the pet store sang the praises of Nutro and we decided to put both of our dogs on it. Within a year of being on the new food, our older dog developed TONS of bladder stones and had to have emergency surgery. I didn't make the connection to the food until I looked it up online and saw how many other people had the exact same experience!!! bad food We fed Nutro Max to our bulldog and bullstiff with horrible results. The bullmastiff got very ill. He had diarhea so bad and the bulldog vomited(and she has a castiron stomach) We gave both of them a bland diet and slowly started to reintroduce Nutro Max again eith the same thing happening again. Happy. Healthy Doggie for 5 years now I've been feeding my great dane mix rescue Nutro since we got him over 5 years ago and he's been a beautiful healthy dog the entire time! I have had many people comment on the shininess of his coat and even though we have no way of knowing exactly how old he is we are surprised that we haven't had any problems with joint pain as it is common in large breeds. At Christmas we added 2 rescued kittens to our household and they too have been eating Nutro since day 1.
