Netflix is great for streaming video

I love being able to stream videos and movies on Netflix. Netflix has allowed me to catch up on many tv shows that I never would have seen otherwise. I love having the ability to watch on my computer, or through my wii, my boyfriends tv also has a netflix app built in. My only complaint is that I wish there were more newer movies available to stream. I think Netflix has a great selection of tv shows, but is slightly lacking in the movie department. view more

Cutting Cable!

I received a free trial of Netflix and I fell in love! The quality of the content is much higher than the "on-demand" provided by Comcast. I'm looking into getting rid of my cable package and switching to streaming only. view more

coolest thing

i started netflix about 4 months ago. when i started to check out the movies and tv shows i realized that there were alot of choices on there. there are shows that i havent seen since i was little! so funny! and being able to watch my new fave shows online if i miss them is awesome! i use my ps3 to watch. i love it! view more

Convenient, but Getting Pricey

I am a little bummed that they started charging separately (and more) for mailing DVDs and instant play. I liked it a lot better when I could get both for a low price, but now I just get DVDs mailed to me, and I like the layout of the website, how easy it is to find the movies you want and organized your queue, and it's great to be able to just stick the DVD in the mailbox on the way out the door. Great for a while

I have had netflix for a few years now and I am using it less and less now. I feel i wait much too long for newer releases and end up renting them from local video renters. I also use the instant stream less often i feel the quanity has declined. While im only paying about ten dollars a month it no longer seems worth it. view more

Netflix service

Though we are disappointed in the recent mess with movie /streaming drama, we still love the concept and it offers good choice of movies and documentaries for us and our kids. Taking one star for the price increase . view more

All drama aside...

All drama aside Netflix is alright. They have a pretty decent inventory from which to choose. It would be great if they had more foreign language movies. When I lived on campus I streamed to my laptop but now that I have moved I only have a MiFi so I just get movies by mail. There used to be some drama sometimes (rarely) with streaming but they were always quick to fix the problem and apologize. The worst part about getting movies by mail is waiting on the postal service. Netflix is very fast when it comes to logging the movie that I sent, sending me a confirmation, and sending the next movie. I just wish they had the ability to deliver the movies themselves because then maybe I wouldn't only get them on Mondays and Thursdays. If they can keep from further angering their customers and stay steady in how they have been operating and stay steady on their prices then I recommend Netflix. I am eager to see if they can move past their problems and improve! view more

Even with all the controversy, we still like Netflix. We use the mail and also have the on demand. The price increase was a bit frustrating and they keep screwing with the company, but hopefully that has stopped. I still love getting the red envelope in the mail. I converted my mom and sister to netflix users as well. Yes, I still recommend it. view more

Netflix is too big for their britches

I am very unhappy with the way Netflix has decided to re-organize. I feel that those folks that were already members, the price should have been discounted. Personally, although our family is going to continue to stream movies on-line through Netflix, we are moving over to Blockbuster for our movie rentals. They also offer Blu-Ray at no additional cost, along with free rental DS games. view more

umm netflix is pretty cool. ive been a costumer for about 2 years and ive been pretty satisfied. umm i love how i can just watch a movie anytime in the confurt of my home and every night in my house is a movie night, wouldnt every have it any other way! view more

Limited Selection

Netflix is great if you want to spend like $10 a month for a very limited selection of movies and TV shows to watch online. Most Disney movies are unavailable for streaming, as are so many TV series and mini-series. The nice thing about Netflix is that it keeps track of what you've watched, so if you stop in the middle of a movie or episode, it will pick up where you left off next time you sign in. view more

Catch up on TV series

I have been a Netflix subscriber for over a year now, and am overall happy with my subscription. The price for monthly streaming is $7.99 which isn't bad if you watch movies a lot. The only problem with the streaming is the movies are older. I have also watched many TV series' on Netflix. I am hoping to watch Bones as all seasons are available. My daughter also enjoys it as she and her friends can watch a variety of scary movies when they come over! view more

Netflix - Movie and TV show rentals

The recent price increase has caused me to move to streaming only, which is a bit disappointing - I would have readily given this company 5 stars if they had stayed with their previous $10/month price plan for 1 dvd at a time and streaming. At least they didn't go ahead with that "Qwikster" idea! Their selection of movies is not too bad on streaming (mostly older or less popular stuff), but most new releases are on DVD still. If you're looking to watch popular TV shows, this is a great place to go though. I have to give them credit where it's due; they remedy any quality imperfections in streaming content in a timely manner, and compensate you if the site is ever down. They're adding content more regularly now than before, so there is always something "new" to watch. The recommendations of what to watch (based on what you've rated) are usually quite accurate, and find things that you'll enjoy. I personally dislike the new site layout though, I preferred the old "list" style, rather than scrolling movie posters. So they've made some mistakes trying to split the company and boost prices without any compensation, but it's still a decent system in the end. view more

Annoyed with extra charges but still lov...

While we are not at all happy about the price increases that netflix has recently charged, we do still love the reliability and ease of the service. Our movies are delivered on time, without fail. We have had a couple issues over the years with dvd's that do not work but a quick visit to their website allows us to let them now and a replacement dvd is sent out the very next business day. All in all, we are very happy with netflix and have decided to remain customers although we did downgrade our service to avoid extra monthly charges. view more

Re-starting my account and couldn't be h...

I have to say that I was very happy with the customer service I got with Netflix. After I left my husband, he and his friends were still using my Netflix account. I contacted the customer service folks and they immediately re-did my account so he (and his friends who had the information) could no longer access the account. They even took care of a DVD that he never returned so it would not be holding back my account. Because I told the Customer Service people about my situation, they informed me that I could put my account on hold and could restart it when I was ready. Well, went back in today and made sure everything is set and my account starts back up tomorrow! Thank you Netflix!! view more

Not upset at all!!!!

We got rid of cable last year and went to Netflix. We have not missed our cable at all!!! When Netflix raised their prices it did not bother us because we are still paying so little compared to the amount for cable. Also I was not surprised by the rate increase because everything has gotten so expensive. view more

Still Best for Streaming

As with most people, I wasn't happy with the abrupt name change. I think Netflix gave as much notice about the price change as any other service that you have a month-to-month contract with; they've raised prices before. But, I've been researching other alternatives to include the offerings on Amazon Prime and Xfinity/Hulu. Nobody offers the selection of kids shows that Netflix does and they seem to have the buffering down pat. I recently tried to watch online some new shows but was frustrated by the lack of buffering. I have Comcast and was trying to watch a tv episode through their service and could only watch about 30 seconds at a time as it constantly had to pause to load more material. Comcast/Xfinity which uses Hulu was no different and ABC.go was even worse. I then switched over to Netflix for a different show and was able to view a movie without the constant stop and go. I used the same connection for three services and within a few minutes of each other. The next day I tried to watch an NBC show and Xfinity's playback was horrible. NBC was much better but the selection is very limited. Netflix still has the best selection and the best playback capabiliy for the value; it also works on my iPhone for no extra charge. view more

Great streaming but could be slightly be...

I have been using netflix for a while now. I have only had the streaming option and was getting ready to upgrade to receive both streaming and dvd's, but when i heard about the price change I wanted to wait to see what I was going to be charged. I was surprised that to have both you have to pay a high fee. $16-$30 for the options of 1-4 dvds with streaming. They used to be affordable for both but I only have the budget for online streaming only still. I love that I can watch many different movies and tv series but I think it would be beneficial to offer a few new release items to the streamers. These new releases are only available to dvd members only and that is disappointing. Other than those few things netflix is a great company and I love being able to stream from my tv app, xbox and computer. view more

I still love movies

Even though Netflix has recently changed the way the are handling the DVD's and instant watch I still love the service. I love being able to watch all my favorite shows and movies. I do wish they had more stuff on instant watch but I can't say I'm unhappy with the selection that is there. The speed of delivery is awesome. I usually get my next movie within 2 days of sending the old one back. I would recommend Netflix to anyone looking for a good movie service. view more

Still a Fan of Netflix

In recent days, Netflix has caught a lot of negative response in the media. Yes, they have raised the prices, but the value is still good for the service they provide. They might not have all the movies you want but it's easy enough to add movies to your queue and receive them in a timely manner. Sure, it's free to download torrents and illegally view movies online, so maybe Netflix seems pricey compared to that, but a month's service of Netflix is still cheaper than taking your family to the movies just once. view more

Streaming is nice

I do believe that Netflix is overpriced for shows and movies that you can find online for free. Plus to switch up on us and want to charge extra for the DVDs is not fair. Not to mention that sometimes the streaming is not that great. view more

not so cool

at first netflix was the best movie streaming media till they increase the price and stooped putting good movies they need to update there movies i like it because my son can watch his cartoons but i think hes seen them all there is no good movies i changed to streaming only because it kind of got a bit expensive an i dont want to pay more for bad movies view more

We first were introduced to netflix through a friend of ours and are streaming it through our wii. We were highly disappointed that none of the new releases were on there. We continue to pay for it because we can quickly get a movie for our toddler son. Other than that we barely use it. Not super excited about netflix streaming. We used to also get the mailings and enjoyed that for a while until it got a little pricey and we didn't have time to watch all the movies. We weren't getting our money's worth. I would rather go to the redbox and get a new release quickly than wait by the mailbox for it. view more
