I enjoy his work

I always enjoyed his comics, and recently I started to read some of his novels. I recently just finished American Gods. I enjoyed it, but at the same time wonder if comic books wasn't more of his element. It left me wondering a lot about the characters because there wasn't too much description of them. Also where subplots work really well in comics, some of the subplots in American Gods seemed pointless to me. If you've read it maybe you'll know what I'm talking about, but there are a lot of little short stories that pertain to the subject of the book, but nowhere tie into the story he's telling. Just my humble opinion though. view more

Neverwhere

I read Neverwhere a few years ago, and was utterly taken with its strange mix of fairy tale and horror. Gaiman manages to be witty and engaging while effortlessly sweeping you up with the plot. A completely captivating read that brings you into a temptingly rich world. view more

I Love Everything He Does

His books and short stories are an amazing mix of mythology, horror, and dark humor. His language is enthralling, and the twisting plots and involved characters only serve to pull you completely into his world. I think he is one of the most original and informed authors out there: both in the scifi/fantasy sphere and in mainstream fiction. view more

Literary Genius

After watching his movie, Mirrormask, I was hooked forever. I buy all his books. American Gods, Stardust, Smoke and Mirrors, Fragile Things and Neverwhere are some of the best books I've ever read. His twisted imagination and dark humor make you instantly fall in love with him. view more
