Lego's are a toy that has unlimited playability and total creativity. They are timeless and can be used by more than just one generation. As a kid I had all sorts of cool lego sets like the pirate one and the star wars one. Legos- the classic hit!

My son, and now my grandson love playing Legos. These durable toys stir the imagination, and help young children see the effects of cause and effect. This is my favorite gift (along with Duplos, the younger set's version) to give kids. It's especially exciting when they haven't had them before, but the thrill of joy when a collection is added to is also gratifying! view more

Lego - Legos, a childhood institution

Legos, a childhood institution

As a mom of 7 kids, spanning 19 years, I have see my share of toys come and go. By far, the toy that has had a great longevity in my home is legos. Legos can be used for so many things. The kids built their own dollhouses, guns, cars and whatever they could think of when they were smaller. Once they got older, they used the more advanced sets that come with instructions. The older that children get, the more advanced the Lego sets become. A toy that they grow with through adulthood. view more

You can't grow up without them.

I LOVED! Legos. They were awesome, just digging through them and building little houses for hours and hours and hours. If you're not sold on them just from experiencing them in your childhood, I'd say they definitely (at least for me) fueled creativity. Plus they used to shut me up for hours on end, so there's that too. I just love them. view more

  Lego - A Classic Toy??

A Classic Toy??

Legos have been a long-time childhood centerpiece. But now that I have boys and have purchased a few of these sets, I keep thinking they have changed since I used to play with them??? Maybe my kids are just too young still, but my 5-year-old builds things and in playing with them, the blocks fall apart and he just ends up frustrated. And I agree with other reviewers that all the (*expensive*) kits they have out now really take away from the imaginative part that made these toys an icon to begin with. view more

  Lego - Legos are awesome

Legos are awesome

Legos were my favorite toy growing up with my brother. Now they have a ton of these kits for Pirate ships etc. I think these are probably good for bonding the same way a model airplane or something. Although it kind of takes away from the originality of playing from scratch but you always have that option. The only thing, is that I havn't noticed many girly ones. It would be awesome if they have like pink and purple and different colors than the original. I feel like they are more focused on boys. view more

Legos has taken away imagination

Okay so I love legos I do and I always will but now they are just taking away a chils imagination. Before the child would just get a box of legos and build what ever they created in their mind. But no now a days thats not good enough. Now they need to makes kits and sets that tell you exactly what to make and how.... This does not help a child be creative at all in fact it takes away their imagination process completely. view more

Lego - Legos, a childhood tradition

Legos, a childhood tradition

Legos are a very diverse and wonderful toy. I grew up with them and they were one of my favorite toys as a child. They are not only fun but educational. They foster imagination and creation in a child's mind. They create and help increase spatial learning ability, and create the future engineers of the world. They are for all ages and both boys and girls, and there is so much you can do with them. I know i personally both made race car tracks and houses with them but also had my Barbie weddings in a Lego church. I made fairy tales happen in Lego castles, where the Lego knight rescues the princess on his noble Lego steed. All around a classic and wonderful toy that I believe will continue to transcend the generations with its versatility and appeal. view more

Great alternative to TV

My 8 year old son absolutely loves Legos. He got about 6 different sets for his birthday last year, some Lego brand, some other brands. He HATED the other non-Lego brands, as they kept popping apart, and were hard to snap together. But with Lego, he doesn't get frustrated. He actually built 6 things on a rainy afternoon, rather than play Wii or watch tv. Thank you, Lego! view more

  Lego - IMAGINATION ABOUNDS

IMAGINATION ABOUNDS

I have 3 children, 28, 26, and 11. Legos are the one toys that has been handed down from one son to the next. What is really amazing is that my older children loved the Star War series and that is the same thing that is on my youngest sons' Christmas list every year. We have found that Lego's last no matter what. We keep each of the instruction books that come with each set in a file, so if anyone wants to make the model exactly as intended they can. The bedroom dresser abound with completed models from the Star Wars era. We have been to the Legoland at Disney World Market Place and can't wait to go to the new Lego Land in Winter Park, Florida that just opened. Keep up the good work !! view more

Lego - Thank goodness for Legos

Thank goodness for Legos

As with many other reviewers, my son loves legos. They are a godsend. He's been a fan for the last few years. I used to help him out with the instructions, it was fun mom & son time. Now he does them by himself and he is great at working through some of the tougher frustrating challenging parts. He keeps calm and patient and finishes the job. then he likes to recreate other "inventions" after taking the original creation apart. I wish he'd leave the original creation for a little longer, just so he can look back at all his hardwork. But he has fun, view more
