Perfect for luch at work

Lean Cuisine meals are a lunchtime staple for me. Every one I have tried has been very tasty. They are fast and easy to prepare in the microwave at home or work. Even though I'm not on a diet, these help me to not over do it on calories and fat. My favorites are the Butternut Squash Ravioli (I could eat this one every day! It is also VERY filling for only 260 calories.), Apple Cranberry Chicken, Sesame Stir Fry with Chicken, and Thai Style Noodles with Chicken. I would highly recommend these and too many others to list! The new spring rolls are an awesome snack too! view more

Spinach and Mushroom Pizza

One of my favorite meals, it is so tasty! I love the way it has the packaging to double up as a cooking tray in the microwave. :) It makes it have a crunchier crust but still a soft topping. I good tip is to cook as directed and then let it sit for like 5-10 minutes on the tray to get a little extra crispiness. view more

Lean Cuisine Chicken Alfedo

Lean Cuisine is my favousite fast meal and I especially LOVE the chicken alfredo. It is a low fat alternative to the real thing! Put a bit of fresh ground pepper on it and it has a great taste. I take it for lunch as well - easy to grab out of the freezer with an apple and go to work! Walmart had them on sale for 1.99 and I had some 1.50 off coupons !!!!!! view more

My favorite for lunch

I absolutely love the frozen lean cuisine meals. There is a lot of variety which is very important. These are my go to for lunch. I like that each box has the calories written right on the side big enough to not have to search for. If you are doing weight watchers, the point are also included. I choose this product because my biggest diet dilemma is portion control, and these meals help me out. The flavors are wonderful. I can get the variety I seek with the help of limiting what I eat. They are easy to prepare in the microwave. My favorite are their sandwiches and flat breads. I will say the sandwiches that include green bell pepper tend to be a little powerful. I definitely have to brush my teeth after eating those. view more

LOVE this line!

My entire family loves this line. We each have our favorites and with such an expansive menu, there are plenty of options to find your own favorite. We love that the food tastes natural, not overly processed and is easy to make. The only negative is that the larger pieces of chicken (say, an entree with a chicken breast instead of chicken bits) tends to taste the least authentic, like chicken nugget texture. We typically stay away from these options. Other than that, we love nearly the entire line! view more

Yummy frozen meals

I love the Lean Cuisine line. There are tons of options to choose from and I haven't tasted a bad one yet. I use the frozen meals as the base for my personal dinners. I add some Tofu Shirataki noodles to the meals to make it more hardy and voluminous to fill me up. I tend to wait until there is a sale and then use coupons to make it more affordable. I've always enjoyed Lean Cuisine meals. They're easy to prepare and taste good. They're affordable as well which is important to me. Lean Cuisine Cheese Ravioli

I usually have Smart Ones' Cheese Ravioli and really enjoy it. Lean Cuisines were on sale, so I decided to give their Cheese Ravioli a shot, especially since it was 1 Weight Watcher point less (4 versus 5) than the Smart Ones version! (This was before the conversion to PointsPlus.)
Overall, they are quite similar. Both have about 6 raviolis per package; both brands' raviolis are square with "ridged edges" and are filled with a tasty cheese mixture (Ricotta, Mozzarella, Parmesan and Romano, according to LC; creamy ricotta according to SO). The cheese might have been a bit more flavorful in LC's and I felt that each ravioli was a bit puffier (i.e. fatter) than SO's.
Sauce-wise, it's pretty similar in taste (LC: chunky tomato sauce accented with basil, onion and garlic; SO: earty spinach marinara sauce), but in consistency, SO wins. SO's sauce is thicker, there's a lot more of it and it has spinach, which ups the satisfaction quotient.
Would I buy LC's again? Probably, if it was cheaper than SO's or I had a coupon... I like that it's less points/calories, but the watery sauce, while fine taste-wise, was a bit of a letdown. Plus, there are some other LCs I like more... view more

Lean Cuisine Chicken with Almonds

I purchased this one because the picture looked good (I'm a marketer's dream) and the description sounded interesting: Chicken tenderloins with rice, green beans, carrots and broccoli.
I was a bit skeptical, as I've had some bad LCs, but I decided to give it a chance. And it was tasty!!
The sauce mixed in well to cover about 95% of the rice and all of the chicken. There were only a few pieces of broccoli and the green beans and carrots were julienne, but overall, the flavor was nice. The chicken was super tender & moist. The meal was also fairly filling - more so than I expected.
I would definitely purchase this one again! view more

Lean Cuisine Asian-Style Pot Stickers

First off, these are more gyoza (Japanese) than dumpling/pot sticker (Chinese). The difference, in my opinion, is that gyozas have a thinner dough and are longer/thinner. That's pretty much what these are.
Taste-wise, the gyozas are great. The dough was soft, but crispy at the top (which I like) and the filling (vegetable) was flavorful and a nice consistency. The rice (with peas and carrots) was fine, but lacked flavor. I tried to mix the "asian-style dipping sauce" into the rice as much as possible, but they are on opposite ends of the tray, so some sauce gets left behind. I would have liked it a lot better if the sauce was evenly distributed over the dumplings & rice, giving more pizazz to the rice.
Satisfaction-wise, there are a good amount of gyozas (I forgot to count, but at least 5 I think) and the meal is filling.
If they could "up" the flavor factor of the rice, I'd definitely buy this again. For now, I'll stick to the other meals I know I consistency love. view more

Lean Cuisine's Sweet & Spicy Ginger Chic...

The size of the bag makes you think there's a HUGE portion in there. There's not, although it IS a good amount - I was pleasantly full for a while after eating. Also, this is only 5 Weight Watcher points for the entire bag! NICE. :)
The chicken was tender and while there were only a few pieces, most of them were big, so there was a god amount... Tenderloins are usually smaller and thinner in my mind, but oh well. The meal had a nice mix of water chestnuts (which gave a nice crunch), broccoli, carrots & red pepper. There was a bit of heat (the spicy ginger sauce??), that resulted in a nice kick. The ginger flavor is there but not imposing. It was a good balance of flavors.
There are a lot of udon noodles, with their nice thickness and ?squishiness.? Some were very short, some long ? the short ones were a bit hard to get with the fork, but I managed! ;)
One drawback: This meal left a weird coating over the roof of my mouth? Don't know if it's from the sauce or one of the ingredients, but it's still there...
I would buy this meal again, but want to try some of the other flavors first. view more

Lean Cuisine's Spinach, Artichoke and Ch...

The ingredients/flavors of this panini sounded intriguing (Seasoned white meat chicken with spinach, artichokes, tomatoes, garlic, cheese & Parmesan sauce on Italian bread) and I typically like the paninis - although they do tend to cut and/or burn the roof of my mouth a bit (this one was no exception!).
They finally got rid of the annoying "pull-to-open" bag and this one is just a regular plastic bag that can be ripped open. To cook, you place the panini halves (on the "Revolutionary Grilling tray) in the microwave for 2:45 minutes. Usually, I need to cook them for 30 seconds or more after, but this one was all set. The smell was a bit interesting (nice, mixed with a somewhat not-great scent - maybe the spinach??) so I was a bit wary. The bread had some "grill marks" on it, but was a bit soft in places. As I ate, parts of it did get crispier though, so perhaps the Grilling tray works??
I put the two halves together, to form a sandwich, but you could eat them open-faced if you want. It's probably not as messy, as when I bite, the insides ooze out! But it's still tasty!
This panini has some great flavors - I could definitely taste the artichoke (there were some decent-sized pieces) and Parmesan. The garlic wasn't overwhelmingly obvious, but I like a LOT of garlic.
I would definitely buy this one again! view more

Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken

This tasty meal smells like Thanksgiving.
Chicken tenderloins means the chicken pieces are smaller than usual. Chicken was a bit dry and definitely not the best I've had in a frozen meal. One bite was a bit tough and fatty? Mashed potatoes (in a separate compartment) were good - about as good as instant mashed potatoes can be. Stuffing (in the same compartment as the chicken) was partly crispy and partly soggy (fine by me, as I like that combination).
Wasn't the best I've had in the frozen meal genre, but it was by far not the worst! And I would definitely buy it again. As I said, it's a perfect fall/winter meal and at only 5 Weight Watcher points, a good amount of food for a low-point meal! view more

Sun-Dried Tomato Basil Chicken Flatbread...

First off, I did not expect the cheesy surprise on the flatbread! It made it a bit messier (but then again, these always are - with the cheese melting out and the chicken and veggies falling out), but kicked it up a notch. I love the cheesy, goeyness of these melts.
This flatbread melt was good, but not as flavorful as some of the other LC flatbread melts I've tried. I didn't really taste the sun-dried tomatoes or basil, but it was still a good sandwich.
Some of Lean Cuisine's flatbread melts are 6 Weight Watcher points, some are 7. This one is 7 points. So, while I would definitely buy this one again, I'd lean toward a 6-point one first. view more

I used to hate lean cuisines. They tasted awful, there was never enough to fill me up and they weren't worth the price. They do the trick

As many have noted, these are great to stock up on as quick back up meals. My favorite thing about these besides the fact that they are seemingly healthier than your average frozen dinner is that they do not contain preservatives and excessive additives. As for the taste...well, it is a tv dinner after all but at least there's a variety. That said, I would never buy these at their regular price. Variety is the Key!

I love Lean Cuisine dinners for two main reasons: they are low in calories and there is a huge VARIETY of meals available! I wouldn't mind cooking things fresh, but I just don't have the creativity to come up with so many low-calorie recipes/ideas for lunches.
I really love the Lemongrass Chicken, it tastes great and it really fills me up. The Grilled Chicken Primavera is a close second. But honestly, I could sit here and list off at least 20 different meals I really enjoy.
I don't eat Lean Cuisines everyday, since they are still frozen foods and I appreciate the importance of eating fresh food too, but Lean Cuisine offers enough variety that I probably could eat them every day without getting bored. When you're dieting, avoiding boredom is the key! view more
