Overdone and Dramatic

I am all for theatrics but Lady Gaga constantly goes overboard. She claims to make statements, but I think she just wears something to be talked about. She lets the people decide the meaning of her dress, like it is important. I have to admit I liked her first CD, but its it hard to keep enjoying her music with her pretending to be deep or political with outrageous atire. view more

Train Wreck

While I do admit to liking a couple of Lady Gaga's songs, as a whole she seems like a train wreck. She not original as she takes most of her cues from Madonna and the '80s. Most of it is fluffy tripe but as I said there are a couple of songs that are amusing. She was a beautiful looking person before her current persona and it's unfortunate that she felt she had to change. I can't help but think that if she was "Born that way" her mother must have been on some pretty potent medication while she was pregnant. view more

My daughter and I love listening to her music. It is upbeat and great to dance to, which gets us moving. I also like her message that you can be who you are and that is ok! You don't have to conform to the "norm". view more

My fave pop star

I have always been a fan of Lady Gaga's music and recently this summer, I saw an interview with her and she shared her life story and how she came to be the star she is. I was really impressed with her tenacious spirit and her obvious love for her fans. She composes based on life experience and she throws her heart into every piece she writes. I felt closer to her upon hearing what she has been thru and how she came to find herself. She is a true musician with a love for the craft and her fans. I loved lady gaga when she first came out. Her songs were catchy and her outfits were always fashionable (even though they were a little on the "crazy" side). It seems like lately she has just become over the top unreal. Her new songs sound like bad 80s remixes and her clothes are no longer fashionably, just costume-y. view more

I love Lady Gaga. She is a cross between Madonna and Gwen Stefani. I can do without the "meat suit", that was awful. She has an amazing presence and quite a following. I see her becoming a legend. She is one of the most unique performers to come along in quite awhile. view more

I have only a little knowledge of Lady Gaga. I have seen a few of her performances on the television. Her songs are ok, she can sing fairly well, but I think what makes her so popular is her uniqueness in dress and performance. Don't Care for the Bloodbath

I like that she is creative and really knows how to put on an extravaganza of a show, for those who like that sort of thing. I know that she does send a message that boosts self esteem for many, but , butI don't care for the bloodiness of the Monster Ball stageshow. With cutting an epidemic among teens, the possibility of the bloodbath concerns me. Probably I'm over-reacting, but this hits close to home, so I'm especially sensitive to it. Also, it's nice to encourage kids, but to tell everyone they'll all be up on stage one day showing the bullies and haters up, well that's just not realistic. view more

Weirdness that is getting old

Her songs are definitely catch, but after awhile it just all starts to blend together. I understand some of the things she does is to stand out and get noticed in the music industry, but it is really getting old. Music videos completely unrelated to the song, trash in her hair, lingerie (of course...), ridiculously large hair accessories, dress made from grocery store items, you get the point. I absolutely loved her song "Just Dance" when I first heard it, but everything on starting on her second album just wasn't as appealing. And the third doesn't really catch my attention at all besides "Born This Way" (with a music vid resembling Discovery Channel...?). She's just too overboard for me with nearly the same bland music produced. view more

To look at the many outfits that she wears you would think that she is the craziest and wildest singer out that there but from a 60 minute interview she did I saw that really she is a very normal person with some interesting sense of style view more

Cool

I think Lady Gaga is so cool. Yes, she dresses crazy sometimes, but she does it for fun and I like that about her. I also love her music. Her music videos, though, do get creepy sometimes, so I guess that's the only thing I don't like. She also seems very intelligent in her interviews. view more

Not as great as she once was

This girl, well, she was once really catchy and I loved her songs, her wardrobe, everything. Now, I think she takes her self too seriously and need to gtfo herself. I mean she wears meat dresses, how does somebody even take themselves seriously if they are wearing a meat dress? I probably won't be buying anymore albums from her. Overhyped

Lady Gaga seems more preoccupied with her image and becoming an icon than producing high quality music. Gimmicks are great but music should be good enough to sell itself, without the use of sensationalism or racist lyrics. view more

When she first came onto the music scene I thought she was cool and would bring something different to the stale music industry. I was WRONG!! Not for this lady

When Lady Gaga first came out, we all thought you know she really has something going for her. He songs were catchy and she seemed to be a good performer, then I don't know what happened. We, myself and my husband find her to be way over the top, and yes we grew up during the Madonna age. However there is pushing the limits and going right over the top of them. Her videos do not need to be scene by anyone under the age of 16, probably 18, to this day I do not understand how they have not been banned yet. I am all for self expression, however with all that our children are exposed to this is not one of them. I wish her all the best and hope she accomplishes all that she has set out to do, we will surely hear about it, however we won't be watching. view more

she is a true artist. from her music to performance art to fashion, it's all art. her entire life is performance art; that's dedication. she stands up for what she believes in, especially LGBT rights. what's not to like? view more
