The love of my life I have two Labrador Retreivers, Coco and Macy. Coco is 5 and Macy is almost 3. They are my children and very much part of my family. They are there for me when ever i need someone and they are always excited to see me. Macy is my baby and i treat her that way, she sleeps on my lap most evenings and i wouldn't have it any other way. I would recommend to any family or person to get a dog, labs especially. My soulmate I from the longest time wanted a chocolate lab and finally got one 8 years ago. I had read up on the breed and had a black lab before but nothing prepare me for Riley. She was like Marley a bad bad puppy. I thought the only reason she was so cute was that saved her life. She chewed everything and never slept. She out grew that and she has been my soulmate. I would honestly be lost with out my baby. She has a personality and I swear is part human. She must constantly be touching me. I take her to my parents who refer to her as her granddogger and she circles the house making sure her family is safe....she never sleeps when she is there up and down. about a month ago I added a yellow lab to our family. The absolutely BEST dogs in the world! I found two black lab puppies online that were at a kill shelter. I called to inquire about them and was told they had already been marked to be put down that day. I asked them to please hold off until I could drive the hour or so to the shelter and pick them up. I made it in time & brought home the 2 best dogs a family could ask for. They are now 3 years old and have provided me, my husband, and 2 kids the most joy and happiness I could imagine. My four legged kid!! Twelve years ago my daughter blessed me with a baby lab. I thought she had lost her mind. This was the starting of a new kind of love. The first year was tough, chewed everything even the walls, bannister, trees.. but once we grew out of that I had a the most awesome dog. Always happy to see me, never complained, asked for allowance, car keys only time and attention that was given back 10 fold. When someone asked how many children I have I answer two 2 legged and 2 four legged. Now if I could have at least a 1/4 of the bed it would be perfect. I now have a grandson and they are fantastic with him. Guard and get in trouble with him. When he was in diapers they alerted me to stinky ones. They endure dressing in costumes and playing Star Wars with him. What a blessing for my family and any family with a lab. Highly recommend them for a pet. By the way, they think they are lap dogs and not outside animals. Be prepared to share your chair, bed and all personal space. view more	May 23, 2011	24
Best Dog especially for kids I love my Lab she is great she has tons of energy and not a mean bone in her body, unless someone would try to harm on of her family. Loyal doggies with lots of love. Mine is going on 11yrs old and never had to many health problems my son has been able to poke, prod and of course try to sit on her like a horse and she has never growled or show any aggression that one. Labs I have one black lab female she is 10yrs. I have two lab puppies 7 months one black one yellow both females. My kids love the dogs and the dogs are good to them and protective. My older black has never bite or hurt anybody of my friends family or kids. One thing about labs are they very lovable and they want to be with you andnot in a kenneel not outside. They love people. Merley is great I love marley she is a white lab and a great gal. She is and always will be a part of the family. She goes where we go. GOD, thank you for these beautiful creat... I am the proud parent of multiple pets. 3 labs and 1 mini dasch. My oldest is Midnight, (should be named Princess). She is 12 and a very sensitive girl. She knows when I am supposed to come home and waits by the door for me. My second was a gift as well. She was registered as Midnight too. I watched her for a bit and when she kept chasing butterflies in the fields, I deceided to name her Daisy, she is now 7. Our neighbor's dog, Hunter (black lab 14 grand champs in blood) jumped our 5 foot fence. He "befriended" Daisy. 63 days later Daisy had 10 pups. 7 male 3 female. All 3 females were chocolate. Four chocolate males and 3 black. Each pup took almost an hour, not the 1/2 hour they say. LONG night! I kept one little girl, named Posha (means my friend), The mini-dasch, Sassy (1 1/2 years old) became a wonderful extra mommy to the little pups. She ended up producing milk, lactating for them. She was very happy to help Daisy with such a BIG job. What a JOY they are. If I had more money I would save more. So for now I just love mine to death, and go to the humane society and love all I can there. : ) view more	Mar 24, 2011	34
My Black Lab I have never been an animal lover. Then I came across my black Lab. He is the best dog ever. We have two small children and he sleeps with them when they are sick. The Best Dogs, Hands Down These are really the best breed of dog ever. I had one yellow and one chocolate labrador-chesapeake retriever mix. They were so lovable and great guardians. They would never bite, scratch, or growl at anyone and were always very playful. They loved to play fetch outside but actually did not like water which I found surprising. Lovable and Loyal! I had my first lab when I was very little and I can remember her being the most gentle dog, always good with me (as an infant and older) and loving. Poor baby had to be put down when I was only 7. Fast forward to my current love-muffin - that's right, I called him my love-muffin. A black lab, he couldn't be any different than the girl we had when I was younger yet still has that same endearing quality. He is playful and as much as one can say a dog does, I know he cares a lot for me. I have been around black and chocolate labs for my entire life and I can honestly say they (and I am sure yellows, too) are my absolute favorite dog breed. As I said earlier, they are loving and loyal and though the ones I have been with a vary rambunctious and playful, are still gentle when the time calls for it. My adopted lab I adopted a 4 year old black lab. She would not hunt so that owner didn't want her. I have been so happy with my pooch. She is great with my kids and other dogs. She is scared of loud noise but likes to swim in the lake like a fish. Look out geese. She is a real lovey dog. The are smart and learn quickly. My dog does not seem to want to run away. Only issues are dry skin in the winter, ear infections in summer from swimming and a bout with pancreas issues. I had to put her on a diet with limited content and now she is 100% better. Katie, our pet shelter Labrador. I had gone through a divorce and started dating and met the man of my dreams. We got married and my daughter from our previous marriage was having a hard time with all the changes in her life. She wanted a pet so bad, so my husband and I went to our local shelter to see what they offered. We new instantly we wanted Katie. She was a black lab that had been abused and dropped off in the country. We visited her and took her on walks about 3 times, to make sure she liked us. Then we put a bow on her and took her home to give to my daughter for her Birthday. Now my daughter is on her own, she left Katie with us, as she could not bear to take her from her new found home. 11 years later we still have our Katie, I have had many pets over the years, but she is the most kind and gentle lab I have ever seen. So many friends and family comment on her wonderful nature. We also have a minature schnauzer my kids and hubby purchased and surprised me with for Christmas. Family Friend For Life My first dog is a black lab and while he has his quirks even at the age of 11...including loving everything that even remotely smells or tastes like food...he has been a wonderful, otherwise very well-mannered dog helped by positive reinforcement on our part in training early on and throughout his life. Love my lab! We have had labs my whole life! We brought our newest lab home when she was 7 weeks old in 2007! She is the best family dog ever, and really loves her boy! Water dogs I have had many dogs over the years and labs have to be my favorite. We have 2 - a yellow (white) Enlish Lab and a chocolate American Lab. The only difference between the two is the English one has a boxer shaped head and a tail that's like a whip when it hits you. They're both terrific, fun, loving dogs. Black Labs are always puppies at heart I've had a black lab for a little over 2 and a half years, and she is my favorite dog of all time. Black labs in particular seem to be perpetually in a playful puppy frame of mind. My girl is supersmart, good-natured, and easy to please. She does need ALOT of attention and will let you know it! MY 90 lb darling still thinks she can fit between my feet for a nap and doesn't have any clue how big and heavy she is. Three things to keep in mind: 1. you need to devote alot of attention and time to this breed and will see wonderful results if you do, 2. if you get a lab puppy, be prepared for LOTS of chewing during the first year and 3. though my dog LOVES children, she also likes to jump, so expect labs to need constant supervisions around the little ones. view more	May 26, 2010	53
Awesome Dogs We have a chocolate lab and previously we had a Golden Retriever. They are amazing dogs and are great with kids! Currently we have the best dog in the world named Clyde.
