Every Book is a Page Turner! I have been reading Jodi Picoult books for years and am always amazed at her ability to keep me on my toes! You can always count on an interesting plot with a shocking twist at the very end (sometimes it's on the last page!). I am also very impressed with the amount of research she does to get the details in her books regarding laws, professions, and medical conditions as accurate as possible. Best writer EVER!! I own all of Jodi Picoult's books, to date. I have several favorites, but like them all! Her books touch on very contraversial subjects and life challenges. A good book to me is one that "messes" with all of your emotions. I get angry, sad, thrilled and very excited in every book! Great Author....will always be one of my... I love Jodi!!! Her writing can create such emotion within and you do not want to book darn. Two of my favorite things about Jodi as an author, is her ability to write about controversial subjects and never pick a side. My favorite author! I love Jodi Picoult. I've read about a million books, give or take a hundred, and she is hands down my favorite author. She writes about very controversial topics, and some of her books are definitely better than others, but she makes me think. Whether the topic is ghostly hauntings, autism, or school shootings, she invariably provides a perspective I had not considered before. Great Novels with Twist Endings The first Jodi Picoult book I read was "My Sister's Keeper" on recommendation from a friend - what an amazing book! She is a fantastic author and I have loved every book I have read. My only dislike is all of her books have the same theme - something crazy going on, a lawyer, and an even crazier twist at the end. Jodi Picoult I first heard about Jodi Picoult's books from my boss and after reading My Sister's Keeper I was hooked. Her books touch your heart and deal with such real life issues. Books so good you won't put them down OR... I first treated myself to a Picoult novel in 2005. It was The Pact. I had never heard of Jodi Picoult before, and the blurb on the cover sounded good. Was it ever! I quickly found her other novels and read them. They were so well written that I didn't have to cringe and resist the urge to deface them because there weren't grammatical errors, spelling errors, or other monstrosities. I have read each of her novels to date, and only the first I didn't care for. While the stories might seem exaggerated, they are true to life. I love that she does so much research and consulting for the topics she chooses. It makes everything so believable and interesting. Jodi Picoult is now on my list of favorite authors, which includes Sylvia Plath, and Willa Cather. Picoult writes characters you can believe in, can sympathize with, and can find yourself in. You might even have feelings towards her characters. In her last novel, I was so engaged that I actually called one character a "not appropriate" name to post on the internet! view more	Apr 20, 2011	26
Can never resist peeking to the end Ms. Picoult's books are fantastic! Each one has an interesting plot truly grounded in reality. I can imagine any of her situations appearing in today's headlines. Her characters are so well developed, you become truly drawn to (or sometimes repulsed by) their humanity. Jodi Picoult captures your heart She is the best author. Her writing style is amazing. The books relate to real life events and captures your attention and your heart. The books contain so many real details and must have required so much research. She is the one author that keeps me wanting more and waiting for the next release. Just got the newest one "Sing You Home" which incudes a soundtrak with lyrics by Jodi. Real life scenarios I can not believe the way that Jodi Picoult is able to pull you into any of her stories. I often start to read a book and finish it in one day as I just can't put it down. Jodi establishes early in her books a connection with the reader, and has done such in-depth research that she often enlightens her readers about real and factual scenarios. Favorite Author - never a dull read Jodi Picoult is my favorite author - I have never disliked one of her books. Some of my favorites are Keeping Faith, My Sister's Keeper, and Songs of the Humpback Whale. Thought Provoking Two things i love about Jodi picoult books......the first is her writing style. She writes from the perspective of each character, so you get to see the whole story unfold from everyone's perspective, not just that of the main character. Second is her thought provoking topics, an murderer who wants to donate his heart, a teenage boy diagnosed with asperger accused of murder, etc. She takes situations we know very little about, or hardly think about, and brings them to life. Just TRY to put her books down. Jodi Picoult is an AMAZING author. I have read all her books and have not found one that I haven't been completely immersed in. She really pulls you into the lives of the characters and you never really know who's side you are on! You can tell she does her research, all of her books have a TON of information about the subjects of the book. I am learning while being entertained! And boy, am I entertained. Most of the books involve a trial and it is so interesting to see the ways that you can argue a point and then have someone turn it completely around. My sister's keeper I just finished reading My sister's keeper from Jodi Picoult and it was absolutely amazing. I'm still thinking about the caracters and the decisions that effect our live. It's more then a book, it's life-like! There isn't a book that this fantastic author has written that I have been able to put down! Most of the time, I like to read at night to unwind from a day at work, but I can't with her books! If I do that, I can't fall asleep and the next thing I know I have finished the book and am up way past my bedtime! Now, I love my beauty sleep, so that shows you how much I LOVE these books! heart felt books The first novel I read of hers was" My sisters keeper". It was something about the book cover and title that lured me. I had never read anything like it. I really got emotionally wrapped around the characters. My eyes always get teary when I read her novels and I am always confronted with thought provoking ideas. Real life stories Jodi Picoult has a talent for writing books that suck you in. Writing about hot real life topics like teen suicide, school shootings etc. Her books make you think about the issues from different perspectives, which alot of authors miss the ball on. Beaultiful, Inspiring and Captivating All of her books are so captivating and you will read them in one sitting. I loved My Sister's Keeper, Vanishing Acts, Salem Falls, The Pact and Nineteen Minutes.
