Doesn't last Purchased this outlast lip stain thinking that it was going to last, but it didn't even last 10 minutes i had to keep reapplying which i want to be reapplying all the time. Stined Lips I was really excited when I first saw the commercial for this product. I had been wanting to try it ever since then and I finally picked some up at the store the other day. It reminded me of a marker since it had a felt like tip and you just basically draw the color on your lips. It drys super fast so you have to be quick about getting the color all on your lips so it looks even. If not you will be able to see the lines and it looks funny. Also it really works best if your lips are not dry or chapped at all because if they are then the color will get down into the dry cracks and it really looks weird. view more	Nov 2, 2011	15
Outlast lip stain barely bitten I was really excited to try this product. I love the idea of being able to use a lip stain which will stay on all night! I loved this color but the fading of the product on my lips was very splotchy. It also made my lips feel dry! Covergirl Outlast Lipstain Maybe it's because there is zero humidity where I live but this stuff dries out super fast! I bought 445, brown, and loved how it looked (and tasted), but soon after I bought it, the color didn't apply quite as nicely and it felt dried out. Love it for when I want more color than ... I usually wear lip gloss or lip balm, but every now and then I like a little more color. I've tried lipstick and it's just not my thing. When I saw the commercials for this I just had to try it. I put on my lip balm then apply the lip stain. If I want even more drama, I add a shiny clear gloss on top. Doesn't last very long. I was so excited to get a berry lip stain and CoverGirl had the best price and a very good selection. I'm not too fond of the marker applicator. It's nice, but uneven at times. The product itself is nice. The packaging is very true to the color. The stain itself doesn't last long, especially if you're drinking water or you lick your lips a lot. Definitely make sure your lips are exfoliated beforehand and keep some kind of lip balm around to help the color last a little bit longer and keep your lips moisturized. It's lasted quite awhile, but I feel it would last longer if it wasn't a marker applicator; it just dries out too quickly. view more	Aug 21, 2011	24
Covergirl Liptain Purchased this product on Sunday(8/14/11) tested it out and was totally disappointed. It's smells horrible - like rubbing alcohol to be exact. Then it has the feel effect and again smell of a Crayola marker. After about an hour of applying this stuff and attempting to make it work by mixing it with other lip glosses and sticks that I have ...I deceided to return it - and I literally NEVER return makeup. I understand it's supposed to give a stain type look but this stuff literally absorbs upon contact - just like alchohol. The product claims are easily attainable with a matte lipstick. Hated It, Revlon Is Better I really hated this product, and I usually never hate a product I get and find uses for them. I have tried using the product many times and many ways just to be very sure that I wasn't applying it wrong or something. First thing I noticed each time I put this on was that it wouldn't go on evenly and looked streaky. I got a color that looked like it would be a pretty light pink color, but it ended up being a very dark mauve color and dark colors don't look good on my pale complexion. To try to tone down the color I added a light colored lip gloss over it which helped but still didn't look that good. You will need to apply a lip gloss or chap stick a lot through out wearing this or your lips will dry right out, but when you do apply them it makes the lip stain wear off. No good... I did not like this product at all. I only tried one shade; I don't remember which but it was a berry color. I didn't like how it went on, it felt thin. The color was very pale and faded, almost like a lip gloss without the gloss. It's supposed to be a long lasting stain, but I would up having to lipstick on not long after because it faded so quickly. Also after it dries it made my lips feel quite dry and I had to apply a topcoat of gloss. I definitely would not buy this product. view more	Jul 7, 2011	45
Not impressed Covergirl Outlast Lipstain was very disappointing. The only good part was the marker applicator. That worked nicely to apply precisely. The color I got was nothing like the color in the tube. It was a lot brighter. The color faded quickly, considering stains are supposed to be longer lasting. My color lasted about 2 hours usally. I always had a lip liner-like ring around the outside of my mouth while the inside color faded away. The stain made my lips dry, but that's pretty normal. I wished this product was better. This Lipstain didn't work great for me The CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain did not work very well for me. First of all, it didn't come out of the applicator very well. It needed to be shaken and dotted on my lips, just like when a marker is running out of ink. Then I didn't find that the color lasted very long at all--especially on the inner part of my lips. I did like the colors that I tried (yes, I bought two hoping that the second one would work better than the first. To no avail.) Not impressed at all I had such high hopes for the product. I was sucked in my the commercials. I'm always on the lookout for a product with lasting power and matte finish. Good idea I like this for the price. What do you expect for a few bucks! I do not like lipstick and this is a good alternative. Feels like there is nothing on your lips. Awful Product!!! This product absolutely is horrible and a waste of money. Let's start with the colors first. The colors on the tube do not match the actual lipstain color. Meaning that if you buy one in pink it will probably end up being red on your lips. Then the lip stain looks like you drank Kool-aid and it stained your lips. Numerous of my friends had the same problem. Recently I bought one that was a pinkish color and it turned out being bright bright red. I'm tan so that doesn't look good with my skin tone at all. I let my friend use because she is pale and she hated the smell, the texture, and how it made her lips feel very dry after putting it on. It literally made her lips chap. It was sad. This Product Stinks! This product is horrible. It's messy and the color choices are terrible. One day I bought one and the color looked pink. It turned out being red and I looked like the Joker!!!!! I was mad!!! I bought another one and it turned out to be purple. I decided to stop wasting my money. looks dry and creases I tried it and let me tell you i didn't really care for it. It made my lips look older than they really are! The only way i can say that it looked a little bit better is if you put a little shine blast over it. It looked decent after that. Good for the price I am not a heavy lip-color user, because I get really paranoid about the product staying where I put it. I just imagine it would get on my teeth, or wear off on only part of my lips. I was always intrigued by the idea of a stain, but hadn't seen any at the drug store, so never tried one until this came out. I like it for a night out, it really keeps your lips colored all night, even with food, drinks, lip balm, I suppose kissing... Looks dry I love how the picture of Drew Barry more and this was the first stain I got in a pen form, I have the benefit stain. I got this in berry and it looked as if my lips where bleeding it did not go on even and it looked dry and flaky I tried using this as a cheek stain so I would not be a total waste, it worked I put a small amount on my finger and blend it in with a brush it was ok like that but as a lip stain oh no!!!!! view more	Apr 11, 2011	38
It's Not All That In theory, Covergirl Lipstain is a great idea. In practice, though, not so much. If anything, I'd recommend this as a base for an actual lipstick (give you staying power and deeper color). On it's own, though, it looks like you've been sucking on a popsicle for too long. It's difficult to apply the stain evenly; and once it's on, it's tough to get off without access to vaseline or makeup remover. Don't waste your money, this product dri... Don't buy this lipstain. I love the idea of lipstains and purchased some from a few different brands. This was the first one I bought. I didn't mind the color, although it didn't apply super evenly. I was able to make that work, though, and I thought it was a fairly decent product. That was until I went to use it again. I kid you not, when I went to use it the 3rd or 4th time, it was dried out. I had securely put the cap on each time and everything. So I sat it up hoping that the liquid would run to the tip and it would be usable again. That didn't work. I had to throw it away. My mom bought one too and had the same problem. oh no. oh my goodness. drew barrymore got me again. first with those awful shadowblast mess, now with this lipstain. Now i do not think that these were extremely dry or anything of that nature (not that i ever used the end with the chapstick on it because its just not very appealing). My problem is simply that the applicator did not disperse the product evenly onto the lips. You literally have STAINS on your lips with different areas having more color than the next. Also, i purchased a couple different colors at once and they dont even look different. oh man. great idea CG, but possibly a lipgloss container with a doe-foot applicator? or mini brush? i love the versatility of those types because oftentimes you can apply them to the cheeks as well! ladies love multi-purpose products!! better luck next time CG view more	Apr 1, 2011	39
Horrible, dry, oddly colored lips I always wonder how Covergirl can claim that this is the bestselling lipstain. I hated this product and threw it away! Other have made the same comments that it looks like Kool-Aid on your dry lips. It also sinks into all the creases and cracks in your lips and just looks horrible. Not to mention that there are no testers at the store so you have no idea what the color or the product will be like when you get it home. Great stain I've been on the hunt for a good stain for almost 10 years now, and I always put off trying CoverGirl because I don't often have much luck with their lip products. I was so wrong, though. Love the Color Selection, Not the Produc... I really wanted to like this product- I seem to be on a constant search for the perfect lip stain. That being said, this Cover Girl Outlast didn't fit the bill for me. I like the color selection, but the "stain" didn't stay on my lips for long. I hate this product I have to say, Covergirl out did themselves with this one. I love Covergirl, so when the Outlast Lipstain was marketed on America's Next Top Model I wanted to try it. I bought about three before I tried just ONE. What a Big Mistake. First, the lipstick is really a marker that doesn't offer any shine to your lips. You have to use something on top of the stain which makes it look a little funny. Plus the stain is just that, A Stain. The colors are nice but it is really drying and the color faded especially on the inner bottom of my lips. They should have also made it so that it had a lip balm attached to it. Just okay I wanted to love this product, because I (and my fiance) love the idea of a lip colour that is non-sticky and non-transfer for our wedding. Pluses and Minuses -- Not worth $8 I was really interested in trying this product, but was not as impressed with the results. While I like the long lasting aspect of the product, it goes on much darker and brighter than the color of the tube, making a more childlike appearance. I wouldn't wear the brighter colors to work. I have to agree with others that the product is a bit drying as well, and would be best to pair it with a chapstick like the Revlon brand does. CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain Lipstick Sass... For starters, I was not thrilled with the color selection. Besides not having enough colors to choose from, I did not care for most of the color choices. To me they seemed very bright, almost child-like. The application is easy enough. You are literally outlining your lips with what feels like a magic marker, and then filling them in. The color was way darker than it appeared in the tube. The lipstain had lasting power but was very drying, which made my lips look and feel unattractive. Not the best lip stain I've tried I tried this lip stain and realized quickly that it simply wasn't going to work for me. Not only were the colors too bright, but it seemed to pool on my lips in some places and completely fall off in other areas.. never an even application. long lasting and inexpensive - WIN! This really lasts for hours and hours. It goes on like a marker - no weight to it at all. It's not sheer like benetint, which is good in some ways, because benetint just doesn't look like anything on me. But because it's not creamy, it doesn't quite look like lipstick. Didn't like the colors I have tried this product and I didn't love it because I didn't like the colors. i'm more of a neutral type of girl and the colors were a bit too bright for me. Love it I love the cover girl lip stain. It doesn't make my lips goopy and the color isn't too outragous or bright. it goes on easily and give just the right amount of color. i usually apply it under a gloss or awuaphor to add some shine. priced decent as well! Great to see a lipstain from a drugstore... Covergirl was the first to offer a lip stain like this in the drugstore and other drugstore brands quickly followed suit. I like it but... I like it because it looks very natural. The color kind of mixes with the natural lip color and it looks great! They missed the boat here I had used their older outlast and I could put it on int eh morning and had to strip it off at night, I loved it. when they came out with the new one I exspected it to work the same way.
