I had comcast for years and finally got rid of them. The customer service was horrible I had agents yell at me and hang up on me. On top of that the prices were outragous! I pay half of what I used to pay and have more channels. When I went to move they told me I had outstanding bills from 6 years ago and they couldnt hook up my serivce. Well I had already paid those bills and dont have recipets as it was 6 years later. And why did they hook up my service and I had it for years if I already owed them money doesent make any sense. view more

We have recently switched cable providers after having comcast for about 2 yrs. I was very disappointed with comcast service. We had internet and tv through the company. My complaint were their ridiculous prices. They practically could charge anything because they were only option and they did. We called to complain about the ridiculous prices, and they did offer to lower our bill for 3 months. However, the lower bill price is still more than we pay with the new company for the same exact package. view more

Comcast is the worst of the worst, and that's saying something, with how terrible all of the other cable providers are. They have the worst customer service, their billing department would be better staffed by apes, and their prices are absolutely ridiculous. When we cancelled our service, I had to take the equipment back myself, to an office with 10 chairs and about 30 people in line in front of me. I had a baby in tow and waited for TWO HOURS, and there are no other options. They continued to charge my account for two months after cancelling made me wait for months to get it back. I wouldn't recommend Comcast to anyone. view more

Comcast has been my go-to cable and internet provider for as long as I can remember. It was easy, and you can get both in a package deal for a great price?..that is, until your promotion runs out and then you end up paying WAY too much for way too little. I can?t believe what they are charging these days for basic cable and sub-par internet. I must admit their customer service is decent, but I can?t afford them without a promotion?.which they typically only offer for new customers, not current customers. view more

We have had Comcast for the past 12 years. We started out with Basic cable, then moved to a package...however last year when they changed things and instead of getting cable on all of our TVs for one price and we were told we would have to buy the cable boxes, pay a fee to get the first one installed, then go to their store and pick up our other ones (because if the person who installed the first one brought the boxes to us they would have to install them and charge us!), pay a month rental fee for each box AND it was going to cost us double each month we dropped back down to basic and signed up for Netflix. Recently I looked back into our options for the kids. I called to inquire about it and was told we could add a package for families tot he basic package and could do it without a box. I got disconnected and called back to order and then was told I would have to buy a box, on top of the additional fee there would be a rental fee and we would have to pick up the box. Crazy and cemented our decision to stay with basic and enjoy other ways of watching shows. view more

I've been with Comcast for about 6 years now and love them. I've never had any problems with them and when I call, everyone is very nice and very willing to help. I have the triple play, with home phone, internet and cable. The price is great and they're always willing to help you with your plans to help you get the best price. I do believe that with them, loyalty is the key. We've never left them and I think some people often switch to different cable services or threaten to switch in order to get their bill lowered. I think that is sad, and the best thing to do is just be loyal to them, pay your bill on time, and then they'll treat you good in return. I've only had a few issues, like when our service was out from lighting, or our internet was not working properly. Comcast was great and was out ASAP and got everything fixed (no charge). I'm sure I'll be a loyal customer for years to come. view more

We pay almost 300 a month for xfinity triple play ( we have had triple play for 5 years) They will not offer customer loyalty perks and the service is crappy. when the internet modem ( cable ) went out they DRILLED holes in our concrete block home and then discovered the modem was old and needed replaced. They did not fix the hole they drilled. The man swore at our dog who he thought deserved it because she barked and now with a new tv we stood in line for 2 hours to get a new dvr so we could be told we should feel thaankful to be able to aqquire the new one without calling for a tech first. The day comcast has ANY competition I promise we will be the first to sign up. I hate this company. Go dish if you need tv. If the hubby didnt have to have the finest internet connection for work I would have left them years ago ! view more

Let me start out by saying that I cannot wait until FIOS is in my area. Since right now, comcast is the only provider that I can get, I feel that I have to be grateful for what I do get. I have went through 4 - yes 4 - new cable boxes in less than 5 months. Each time I have to spend over an hour on the phone with customer service listening to them try to troubleshoot. So then they want to send out a technician which means that I have to take a whole day off of work. It is way overpriced for the amount of heartache and personal loss ($) that I have to go through. I hate to sound ungrateful but seems like you would be able to fix standard problems. view more

One word...'OVERPRICED'! This is the best way I know to describe Comcast. They have a monopoly on high speed internet in our area, so they charge whatever they please, without much government oversight. Their prices are ridiculous for cable as well. I bundle my digital voice as well, only because I save about $10 a month over the other guys. So, at $130 a month, I don't receive much for my money. They will sign you up for new service with installation in the home within a day. But when you try to get service for a problem, it takes sometimes up to a week. view more

Comcast got too expensive. I got a better offer from RCN. I called Comcast to make sure I wasn't under contract. They said no. So I cancelled. Imagine my surprise to get an early termination fee on my final bill! They say I was under contract and "sorry, they were mistaken" and won't refund my money. What gives!?! view more

I have a love/hate relationship with Comcast, I love the bundled services I get but I HATE their customer service (which is truly useless) I HATE that they offer you a set price for bundled services and then add service, rental and tax so that you're paying $20.00 more a month than the contract states. I'm glad that Verizon is now offering similar services since competition will be helpful for everyone. I do love my cable internet though! view more

Comcast has really fast internet, and when you first sign up they will give you great deals but after those deals are over their prices are riduclous, they are way to expensive and havee their tv packages broken out so that you have to pay alot extra to get some of the channels you want. Comcast is the worst! Our offices recently moved and unfortunately the only company that offers high speed internet in this area is Comcast. We moved in in February. I have made 3 total service orders for them and each one has turned out to be a nightmare. Not only did it take forever for the initial install but also each time they've come out the work is incomplete or not done correctly. The customer service is poor and it took me multiple phone calls over the course of 4 days to simply have the 7 new lines we added work properly. Ever since Comcast has begun their new Xfinity it has been nothing but trouble. Everytime there is something on I really want to watch either the sound goes out or a screen appears that says contact provider. The people you call seem to have no idea how to fix the problem and it takes hours for them to find the solution. They do offer $20 off your bill. Which brings me to the next problem. I received $20 off my bill for 6 months and just recently got my new bill after those months were up, it went up $67 from the previous month. I immediately cancelled the service and now have had no problems with my tv and the picture is clearly without cable then it was with. view more

We currently have Comcast as our cable and internet provider. Although we have few problems with everything workind, Comcast is still a big dissappointment. They charge a lot for extra things that should be included. I think they should allow you to choose your own channels instead of grouping them together by what they want you to have. view more

I recently closed my Comcast account for good. I didn't have any other options while renting because most places don't allow you to install a dish. Every time I had an issue, I had to either deal with overly verbose and ultimately useless customer service reps over the "chat" feature or call and then navigate the phone menu and wait on hold for long periods of time. When my receiver kept losing parts of my favorite channels list and I called to have it restored, the rep erased the entire thing and then offered instructions on how to set it all up again from scratch. Thanks...that's really helpful. When I closed the account, they started calling or texting me every day starting from the day after I closed it to remind me to return the equipment, even after I told them which day I would be bringing it in. view more

I have comcast for my cable, internet and phone services. I HATE my phone service I have the worst issues with hanging up on me, my line being unavailable, and static. I like my DVR that is my favorite feature. It also stinks that I now must pay to have 4 of the the boxes in addition to my two HD DVR boxes just to watch tv in the kitchen and kids rooms. view more

I have comcast cable and internet. Do they both work well- yes. Do I pay a fortune for it- YES. The company knows they can charge a fortune because we are all addicted to tv and internet. I would discontinue my cable tv with comcast except they have a contract with my favorite basketball team so I wouldn't be able to watch their games without comcast. Literally the only thing that is makeing me stick with comcast. All my other tv shows are online within a day. view more

Wow, where do I start?! Comcast is terrible. Their customer service sucks. They charge you tons of fees for free services. They even charge you $0.25 a month for the remote now! WTF?! They are the only company that serves my area. They have a monopoly on the industry & know it. They charge unreal prices for little service. The cable goes out every other day & they want you to pay them because they didn't install it right! They came out to install one day, they said it was too muddy & then were "unavailable" to hook it up until 10 days later....What did they do? They tried to charge me twice for installation & they charged me for cable from the first day when I still had no cable until 10 days later! The cable box they "gave" me was used & wouldn't go on demand. They bring me another used box & BAM $40.00 fee for it. Thanks Comcast! view more

We had Comcast for a bit of time as it was the only Tv we could get. Calling it Tv is lose renditin. The were to have showed up to install, the person who came, came late spent most of the time on the cell phone with a female friend who wanted him to hury. I wanted him to hurry too and get us installed. He used old ports and then when I had to call them becaue they were not working properly Comcast then wanted to charge me for installation. Half the time the channels would come in fuzzy or woudl blip and nbe nonexistant. Next time I would go without. view more

I switched to Comcast from Qworst a little over a year ago and I'm pretty happy with my service. The VOIP is not land line quality - so I have had to sacrafice that, but honestly I don't really use my home phone much I just have to have it for the alarm system. The internet is much faster than Qwest in my area - it wasn't always this way but there are LOTS of new people in the neighborhood using the same node. My only complaints would be the price - I feel like I pay way too much for what I need/get and that I'd really like to be able to watch programs I've recorded on different DVR's anywhere in the house (so annoyed to see that DirecTV has that now). view more

I've been using Comcast's services for about 10 years now. In January 2010 I moved into my own apartment and had the digital tv and internet installed. I have not had any down time at all with the internet and my TV channels are amazing. Everyone single normal channel I have has the option to be turned to the HD verison, I have HBO, all the on demand options that have new stuff pretty much everyday, I never have any problems at all. I guess some people could use some lessons on how to use and care for the equipment before being so upset and blaming the provider. view more

Ugh- what can I say? Comcast is truly the bane of my existence. Not a day goes by that I have some issue, be it slower than normal internet speeds, fuzzy cable picture, or outlets in my house that were once functional and now magically cannot receive "digital signal". The thought of calling to get problems solved takes days of mental preparation. I have to psych myself INTO dealing with them. If I had other options, I wouldn't be dealing with such HORRIBLE service. I HATE, HATE, HATE Comcast. view more

Basically I ended up spending over an hour talking to a representative who provided me with false information. An hour later, no appointment even though I supplied her with all my information...AGH.
