Before Clear Care I was using saline solution in a contact lens case -- archaic. I am so much happier with the upright storage unit that is easier to fish your lenses out of in the morning. My lenses are definitely cleaner and clearer than before and the system truly extends the life of my disposable contacts. 6 hours to do all that is hardly no time. This product is great! view more

Clearly the Best for contacts

I recently got contacts again after years of only wearing glasses, and I found the solution they started me on to be irritating after a short time. My doctor recommended Clear Care because it doesn't have any of the chemicals that other solutions have and now I can wear my contacts much longer without irritation. We're still in the "figuring it out" phase and I might have to switch lens brands, but the doctor was adamant about Clear Care being the best solution. It cleans really well. But head the warnings and NEVER put it directly in your eyes unless you want a chemical burn. The solution must dilute before it becomes benign. view more

Works Well but must let them soak...

I usually use Opti Free, but last time I went to my eye doctor, they had coupons so I gave this a try. I do like the fact that the solution really cleans my contacts and that I can see it working, however I hate the fact that you have to let it sit for 6 hours. So, if I notice a bit of dust on my contact during the day, I can't go rinse it off- so I need to have another type of solution so I am able to do this. I don't know that I will keep buying this in the future, I have no problems with my Opti Free and it is much more convenient! view more

Clear Care Confusion...and Tips!

Clear care is the best solution on the market! I love it! I recommend it all the time to my patients, my family, friends, and I use it too! To combat some of the issues, here are some tips: 1) It's pricey... Either use it every other day, buy it in bulk at a wholesale store (it's MUCH cheaper that way), or ask your eye doctor for a coupon (they should have plenty!). 2) It stings sometimes the next day... Soak for SIX hours! 5.5 hours is not long enough. If it still stings occasionally, pull the basket out of the case and rinse through it with another solution like Opti-free or BioTrue (which matches the pH of your tears...aka less sting!) Hope this helps! This is really the best stuff available to clean soft lenses...and help combat some of the issues with inability to wear lenses and dry eye! view more

New Clear Care user

My eye doctor just recommended Clear Care to me last week and I just started using it. It really did clean my lenses better than anything I have tried before. The real downside is the expense. I was buying store brand solution and it was less than $3 per bottle. Clear Care is about $8. I haven't had too much trouble with eye infections (if you have you might want to use Clear Care full time), so I am going to use my regular solution most of the time, but do a Clear Care cleaning once or twice a week. I have monthly lenses so I think this will keep them feeling fresh through the month. view more

best contact solution i've ever had!

i've had eye problems with my contact in the past. i once got a fiber in my eye that was very painful because my contacts weren't cleaning very well overnight. i had a friend using the clear care solution and case and so i switched over! GREAT decision! i've never turned back; this solution cleans the best with the special case and everything. i haven't had eye problems since and my contacts last a lot longer! view more
