The lotion itself comes out to be solid white. It's hard to describe the exact scent of this but it smells really FRESH. I really like how it smells! The moisturizer has a pretty good consistency -- neither thick nor runny. It blends really effortless as well.. There is definitely both a good and a bad side to this product. I think it really all depends on the person who is using it. For someone who has acne-prone skin, this moisturizer might be cut it for them because the 0.5% salicylic acid medication will not suffice... they might need something stronger. For someone who has dry skin and needs intense moisture, this will not moisturize your face well enough. However, for someone who has fairly oily skin and just needs a bit of moisturization, this product is perfect! Also, for someone who has really clear skin and just has the occasional pimple here and there, this product will definitely help and treat and prevent your pimples. At the moment, I am not using this moisturizer religiously because my skin has actually been pretty dry because I've been using crazy amounts of benzoyl peroxide to treat my skin so I need thicker moisturizer that is more hydrating. Also, I have been getting more pimples lately so this product will not help me with making the pimples go away. BUT, I really do enjoy using this moisturizer when my skin is more clear and a bit more oily. I wouldn't use it as a night time moisturizer because I do like to use a more hydrating lotion at night, but it's perfect to use in the morning. Overall, I give this moisturizer a B view more

Worked at first, but....

When i saw this in my local drugstore, i thought it would be a good buy, since it seemed to me that i could moisturize and prevent acne at the same time, without having to use my acne spot treatment. At first, this moisturizer worked great, however, after a month of continued use, my skin became very dull looking and rough, not to mention flaking around my nose and chin. I have combo/oily skin, so i was very surprised that i was flaking. I switched back to my clinique dramatically different gel, and my skin calmed down. Also, i was not a big fan of the smell--very fake and overpowering. I could smell if on my hand an hour after i put it on my face. Ick. However, if you have oilier skin this might work for you, and I'd say to only apply it once per day at first, until your skin gets used to it view more

Good until my skin changed

This used to be my go-to moisturizer up until my skin changed. Before this moisturizer helped cleared my skin and I it was affordable. Then my skin became more sensitive and this made it even worse because of the active ingredient salicylic acid. Everytime I used it my skin would flare up and I had more pimples then ever. I eventually stopped using it and guess what, my face cleared. So it was good while it lasted, my skin changes over time and I was ready to move on to something more gentle. view more

Just Okay

If you suffer from hormonal breakouts this won't help to prevent them. I purchased it to go along with Ponds Deep Cleaner & Make-up Remover knowing that the cleaner is heavy and I didn't want to go overboard with moisturizer. I hoped this light formula would help with the added protection but it did not. view more

Effective acne treatment w/ good side ef...

I'm still looking for the perfect acne treatment, but so far this is the product that works best on my oily skin. Though it is not advertised as such, this moisturizer also seems to make my pores smaller. view more

the cool lets you know its working

i absolutely love this moisturizer. i use it along with the clean and clear daily scrub and i love the cooling feeling. my skin has been soft and smooth, and i've been seeing fewer and fewer breakouts since i started using these products. i can't say whether or not the moisturizer would single-handedly help against breakouts, i feel like it might make my skin too oily, but using it with a cleanser definitely helps keep my skin from getting too dry or breaking out too bad. view more

Always come back to it

This has been my standby moisturizer for probably over 4 years. I have tried other ones in the past but for some reason always come back to this one. I do find that it doesn't moisturize quite as much as i'd like in the winter months (I need to apply more), and it does have a somewhat unpleasant "cool" or "tingly" sensation (I want to describe it as "minty"). But once you get used to it, that goes away. Still my standby, it seems to do its job! view more

Dual Action

I enjoy this product alot it keeps my skin feeling fresh and clean.But I am not sure if it prevent my pimples. I enjoy it I put it on morning and night and I have noticed a improvement within my skin. view more

Keeps skin more under-control than regul...

I have dry skin and this has done a pretty good job at keeping some break-outs away while not drying it out too much. I can only use it once a day otherwise my skin gets flakey. I also use benzyl peroxide ointment to get rid of current pimples. Using that and this moisturizer has improved my skin. view more

Great Moisturizer

My bottle of this moisturizer just finished. It lasted me about a year, and I am definitely going to repurchase it. I like how moisturizing it is and how it contains salicylic acid to help control acne. The formula is light and non-greasy. I usually put it on right after getting out of the shower, when my face is clean. I also wear it everyday under my makeup. view more

good for teen skin

I used this product while I was in high school and college. I had a lot of luck with it, in that is kept my skin moisturized without drying me out, and it kept my skin clear. As I got older, I found it too harsh for my skin so I switched to some gentler, hence the 4 stars. I have referred it to friends who have a need for it. view more

It's great

This baby keeps my face moisturized all day. My skin is dry most of the time, but this has really helped prevent dryness. I love it because it's very light and not oily at all. view more
