Certain Dri Anti-Perspirant

It was music to my ears when I heard about all the clinical strength deodorants coming out. I'm not a big sweaty mess or anything, but I think I could use some extra protection in that department. Armpit sweat marks are nobody's friend and are quite embarrassing...
Back when Secret came out with their first clinical strength deodorant, I raced to the store only to find that it was close to $9! That just seemed crazy to spend $9 on deodorant. So disappointed, I almost was about to leave the store deodorantless, when down on the bottom shelf I noticed the Certain Dri Anti-Perspirant. I had heard of Certain Dri from those cheaply made, weird commercials on TV of the woman dancing, then lifting her arm to expose a big armpit sweat stain. I always laughed at those commercials. Now...was I that woman?!
Thankfully, it was under $5. A way better value then the other clinical strength deodorants...well, as long as it worked.
The directions say to apply to underarms only at bedtime and to use sparingly. Only a few strokes under your arms are needed. It comes in either a solid or a liquid. The solid works best for people with sensitive skin. The liquid worked just fine for me, though.
It comes in a 1.2 fl. oz. bottle with a roller ball for application. I applied it and went to bed. The next day, I noticed a difference right away. There were no sweaty armpits, no embarrassing moments, nothing. It felt like freedom. If you don't really sweat that much then this might sound silly, but to all the people out there that do sweat more than others. You know exactly what I mean.
It has 72 Hour Protection so you don't need to apply it everyday. It is unscented though and since I don't need to apply it everyday, I also have another deodorant that I use so I smell good. Now that I have been using Certain Dri for a few years, I really only need to apply it when I am going out for the night or special occasions. I really don't need to apply this for everyday activities. This is a huge change because before, I would walk down the street or something and my armpits would be sweating. Not fun!
One thing I must mention...and the directions tell you this, but I guess I just don't listen. Do Not Apply right after you shave your armpits. I have done this quite a few times and it burns and itches for awhile. It's rather uncomfortable. It also says not to apply it to broken skin, on irritated skin, or immediately after bathing...probably for the same reason.
I really love Certain Dri, and it has in a way changed my life. It's not fun to not be able to wear certain shirts or not be able to raise your arms without being embarrassed. Now, I can do all of that and not have to worry about it. It's a great feeling.
If you are looking for a Clinical Strength Deodorant, I would definitely say get Certain Dri. It works great and is half the money than those other brands. view more

No more sweat, no more smell

I've had a life long struggle with body odor and have tried everything on the shelf including men's products. Someone told me I should try Certain Dri, it's prescription strength over-the-counter product. So I did. The results were not immediate (about a week for it to start working), but once it started...WOW! I have been using it for over 10 years and haven't had any odor or sweat. I use it every other day and it works just as effectively as if I used it daily. This has been a true life saver! view more

Best sweat protection you can buy!

This is the only stuff I can buy that keeps my underarms dry all day. I've tried dove clinical protection and it just doesn't cute it! I still notice pit stains and I pay twice as much for that as I do for certain dri. view more

Not sure if it's working or not...?

So, I think I might have hyperhidrosis, but not too badly. I do sweat even in the cold. Sometimes when I'm just at a friends house with a group of people and we're talking and hanging out, I'll start getting pit stains and I don't know why! I hate it. So I tried dove clinical strength and it did NOT work at all. So then I tried mitchum and it only worked for a couple hours but then i felt the sweat pouring out lol. I heard about certain dri a while ago, but didn't think of buying it until I looked up people on youtube who were just raving about it. So, I finally decided to go out and buy it. I bought the roll on one. I followed the directions and put it on before I went to bed and everything. I don't know if it was working because i was never in a situation that would make me sweat like crazy, but it started making me itch so badly. So, a few weeks ago i bought the solid version and I don't know if it's helping. The roll on seemed to be helping a lot more. Maybe I have to put it on every other night? I really don't know. I've been wearing the solid version for a couple weeks now. Every night I put it on, but I've caught myself sweating even just at home. Maybe I have to continue and see what happens..? view more

Sweaty pits no more!

I recently tried using this clinical strength antiperspirant and so far it has worked perfectly. I dont sweat unless it's a really hot day, so with warm weather coming I need to preempt it! Certain Dri worked much better than I anticipated. My armpits were dry as the Mojave Desert! I will be using this product from here on out when I need it!!!!! view more

Certain Dri - Keeps me dry and confident

I cannot praise this product enough, it has been life changing for me. I've always had excessive perspiration since I was a young teenager, and have finally discovered this product some years ago. I've been a user for about 5 years now, and funny enough, I am still on the same bottle.
In the beginning, I followed the instructions in the pamphlet which IIRC were to apply every night for maybe a week or two? Then, you cut down on the applications. About a month in perhaps, I was only applying about once a week. Nowadays (5 years after the fact) I am perhaps applying once every 2 weeks or even less often.
I had always had excessive sweating, even when the ambient temperature wasn't hot. It didn't matter; it was hot, cold, or just right and I would sweat. It was embarrassing. I always had wet pits, or stained tees because of it.
I started seeing results right away, after just a few days (less than a week). I was relieved I had finally found a product that worked.
The cost may seem a little high for a deodorant, but it's definitely worth it.
***Note that I still apply a regular deodorant in the morning or after a shower, but for me, a regular or extra strength deodorant didn't cut it by itself. I use Certain Dri at night, then the regular deodorant in the morning. view more

Sweat free!

This is hands-down the best anti-perspirant on the market. I have suffered with wet pits for 15 years and found this about 10 years ago when I was no longer able to see a dermatologist for a while. This stuff works just as good if not better than any RX product I have tried in the past. It is a MUST for pit sweaters everywhere! view more

Nothing else comes close

I first heard of this about 8 years ago and had low expectations. I don't know why but I tend to sweat a lot only in the underarm area, and nothing works for me, not even all the new "clinical strength" antiperspirants out there. But with Certain Dri I can apply it at night, I only need a very little bit, like one swipe up and down, and it keeps me dry the entire next day.
I was psyched to find a few years back that they also make Certain Dri AM. I now use Certain Dri at night and Certain Dri in the AM and never even have to worry about sweat stains on my favorite clothes.
As others have said, if you've recently shaved it can definitely sting, so be careful! But this stuff is affordable and it works! Some of the new clinical strength formulas can go for over $10. I pay between $5 and $6 for Certain Dri and it works so much better for me. view more

Certain Dri

I have been using this product for many, many years. I saw it recommended in one of my many woman's magazines so I thought it would be beneficial to me. Well, I was right. You apply at night. The only negative is that sometimes it can burn if you have recenlty shaved. I suggest not using it the nights you have shaved. It does make your underarms stay drier and not smelly. I have been using for years and will continue. view more

Certain Dri

Certain DriŽis colorless, fragrance free and because of its therapeutic ingredient, it's used differently from all other anti-perspirants. You apply it sparingly at bedtime, and it won't wash off after bathing/showering. In many cases, the user will discover that it's not be necessary to apply it every night to control the problem. I applied the deodorant every other night and it works great, no more sweating, and if you live in a hot humid climate you know this is a miracle. Hands down this is the best deodorant I've ever used, no more sweating and no unsightly white marks on your clothes. view more

Certain Dri really does work!

I first tried Certain Dri back in 2004. I have always had issues with sweat under my arms. It made me very self conscious. I had to be very careful when it came to picking out clothes. "Will this material show wet sweat marks?" "Will it easily stain?" etc. I saw commercials for Certain Dri and finally decided to give it a try. I was a new Mom returning to work and having one less stress in my life would be great. I applied the roll on product at night before bed. It took about a week or so before I started to notice results. I did use a deodorant in the mornings just because the fragrance is nice to have (certain dri has no fragrance). After 2-3 months I was able to cut back the amount of nights I applied the product. It went from nightly to every other night to eventually 2-3 times a week. It felt amazing to walk around with confidence knowing that there were no sweat marks on my clothing! Certain Dri works and I would and DO recommend it to anyone who has an issue with overactive sweat glands under the arms. view more

Okay product

I heard so many positive things about this antiperspirant and had high expectations for it. I have been using it for almost a month now and am satisfied with it. It has made me sweat less but it does not keep me fully dry. I still find I need to use a regular deodorant in the morning just to stay dry during the day. view more
