Best Ice Cream Cake! I love Carvel ice cream cakes! Whenever someone else gets another brand of ice cream cake I am reminded of how much I love Carvel because no others compare. My favorite part is the chocolate crunchies in the middle. They are so yummy! I also love that you get both vanilla and chocolate. Yummy oreo-like bits in the ice cream Carvel was my favorite when I was little and it is easy to see why. They come in attractive boxes and have whipped cream frosting on the top of a multitude of flavors. I recently bought another Carvel to see if I still enjoyed it as an adult and I did. Favorite Ice Cream Cakes Ever! Carvel cakes have always been a tradition surrounding my birthday. I have always loved them, they're my favorite cake! The ice cream is creamy and delicious and my favorite part is the crunchies in the middle. Birthday cake Carvel has by far the best ice cream cakes I've ever had. I've always been a huge fan and have gotten one for my birthday every year. (Had one last night in fact to celebrate my dad's and my birthday!). Very disappointed however to see that our local Carvel store in Malden Ma has closed. Carvel As a kid having a carvel ice cream cake was a rare treat on our birthday. My mother knows that i love their layer of chocolate crunchies. Carvel I have so many fond memories of Carvel as a child and even as an adult. My mom used to bring me there all the time for icecream and my birthday was so special because Carvel made my favorite ice cream cake with the chocolate crunchies. Their icecream has such a great flavor and texture and it will always be my favorite. The Original, The Best Flying Saucer Carvel has the best ice cream around, no doubt about that. But their piece de resistance? The flying saucer. Ice cream sandwiched between two cakey pieces- somewhat like a regular ice cream sandwich but for some reason, so much better. People from out of New York State might not be as familiar with the delectable treat, but if you ever have a chance to pick up this delicacy, please do so. Best Ice Cream Carvel was our ice cream of choice when I was younger as our special treat. Unfortunately I can't find a local carvel by my new house. I am still able to get their frozen cakes in the local grocery store however it's not the same. Totally love the vanilla soft serve with Marshmellow topping and sprinkled with toasted coconut. classic Carvel has been around since long before I was born. I lived in NJ then moved to NY. There was always a carvel. The soft serve is delicious!!!! Nothing is creamier in the world. Best birthday memory I had never heard of Carvel until I went to college in New Jersey. My senior year, I had seen a commercial for the "Fudgy the Whale" ice cream cake. I talked about Fudgy all the time to my friends.....made them stop talking when the commercial came on. Laughed about how funny I thought it was that the cake had a name and that it was shaped in whale form. I don't know why, but I loved Fudgy. Well, when my birthday came, some of my friends bought me a Fudgy cake....i was so excited....and it was DELICIOUS! Later on that night, some other friends called me to come to their dorm, and when I got there, they ALSO got me a Fudgy cake. It was so great. The Best ever! I have been getting a Carvel ice cream cake for my birthday for over 30 years. I was lucky to have lived near a Carvel store where we could go and buy cakes, or just to get a dipped soft serve ice cream. Childhood Delights I was fortunate enough to grow up in close proximity to Carvel so I probably went there at least once or twice a week in the summer. The vanilla soft serve must have a secret ingredient in it that is addictive because I always crave more!
