A House, and a Face, Need a Good Foundat... It started with a free cosmetic counter makeover about 10 years ago, one of many I was trying out for my "wedding face." And when I left looking like me, only brighter, fresher, more naturally beautiful (and didn't get propositioned on the way home, as I had with my Benefit makeover!) it ended with a $300 purchase and vow to never buy drugstore face paint again. On my wedding day, and on many days since, I've received compliments about my smooth complexion, which, truth be told, isn't really all that smooth. The foundation is just that good, without making you feel like you've been primed and painted with two layers. I stretched that wedding day makeup for many years (I know, you're not supposed to, but this stuff is pricey), and it held up just fine. I will say that even though I have strayed into the drugstore during tough times, I've decided that you can scrimp and save on most cosmetics, but--for the love of god--not the foundation (unless you want to look like George Hamilton or Casper). favorite blush So i am a true makeup junkie who is quite picky of all the products i use and when it comes to bobbi brown blushes they are my favorite. I used to use other line of blushes but was never happy about either color or the texture, so i decided to try her blushes and needless to say they are now my favorite. 1. Crystal Lip Gloss Bobbi Brown Crystal Lip Gloss was my first purchase of Bobbi Brown cosmetics. I have heard wonderful things about the company and decided to give it a try. I was less than impressed. It felt heavy on my lips and was very sticky feeling. It lasted a long time, even though meals which would have been wonderful if the product was what I was looking for. Best sheer foundation I've been blessed with near perfect skin, and Bobbi Brown's Skin foundation is perfect for me. It is a sheer foundation with a great watery consistency. Goes on smooth, streak free and blends like a dream. Love the gel eyeliner I love the gel eyeliner. Pencils and liquid liners always eventually smudged for me, but this gel stays put. It does require a steady hand with a brush application, however once you get the hang of it it isn't hard to apply at all. view more	Sep 21, 2011	26
great gel eyeliner I have Asian skin so do not find Bobbi Brown cosmetics to be particularly useful. Yes, she has Asian models but they all tend to be pale and I have olive coloured skin. However I hate eyeliner pens (pulls my lids) and was getting tired of the liquid eyeliner look so bought the Bobbi Brown in a glittery green/black. It goes on easily and stays put...most of my eyeliners do NOT last for more than a few hours as I like to rub my eyes. Would defnitely recommend with a MAC eyeliner brush. view more	Sep 11, 2011	24

Vitamin Enriched Face Base I use Bobbi's Vitamin Enriched Face Base daily and I really like how smooth it makes my skin feel because of the primers. It is great for under makeup. I am allergic to everything it seems and this is the only moisturizer that does not make me get hives on my face. Blotting Papers by Bobbi Brown Blotting Papers are powder-free, tissue paper?style blotting papers that work well to absorb excess oil before you touch up with powder. The only issue is cost; you definitely don?t have to spend this much to get an identical product. However, the cost includes an attractive, sturdy case. Great Under Eye Concealer Bobbi Brown's concealer is great for covering under eye circles. Generally, I find that natural looking concealers don't cover my circles and the ones that do cover them are very heavy and un-natural looking. Bobbi Brown's concealer is both. The formula is light and natural looking, but is still substantial to cover my circles. I would suggest going in to get color matched and then going out in natural light to make sure the color looks right before purchasing. Best brushes ever Ive always loved bobbi brown products. Im writing this review in regards to their make-up brushes. While quite pricey- they are one of the best make-up investments you could make. Best Eyeliner around! I am a makeup junkie who always tries out the latest and greatest. It takes a standout product for me to stick with something long term, and one of those few products I have as a staple is the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner. It doesn't budge, feels great on, looks incredible and comes in beautiful colors. You need a steady hand to apply, but it has great effect. Worth the money! The bobbi brown line is pricey but very much worth it. The gel eyeliners, eye shadows, creme eyeshadows, powder blush and makeup brushes are fantastic! Bobbi brown eyeshadows I have to say I do love some of her products but the matte eyeshadows are horrible. The prices are outrageous and the pigment is quite poor. I can apply it over and over and it never builds. I do apply a primer every day and feel that after trying them over and over, they are the worst. Some of the shimmers are okay. Bobbi Brown Cosmetics I've read a few of Bobbi Brown's makeup books, which really help to give you a sense of who she is as a makeup artist and her personal makeup art style. I've gotten into her lipsticks recently and they are WONDERFUL! For natural, "your lips but better" colors, Bobbi's lipsticks are my new favorite. Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush I am in love with this eyeliner brush. It works great for gel liners and cream cake liners such as Bobbi Brown, Stila, MAC and etc. It can make a very fine line or a thick one depending on what kind of look you are going for. Excellent for those who are uncertain about applying liquid eye liner?But I do feel $25 (cdn) is too expensive for the quality of the handle. It's made out of hollow bamboo and feels so fragile in hand. I think if I applied just a little bit of pressure it would snap in half. Bobbi Brown Pastel Shadow Palette I am an avid Bobbi Brown fan. The particular product I want to highlight in this review is the Pastel Shadow Options Palette...which has the following eye shadow colors: Star Sparkle, Iced Blue Metallic, Orchid Sparkle, Petal Shimmer Wash, Ivory, Cement, Baby Pink and Espresso. Basically, this palette has every color you will ever need for day or night looks. The espresso is really great and works as an eyeliner if you use the right brush. All of the shadows stay on really well and look really nice. Although they have words like 'shimmer' or 'metallic' in the name, they are not overly glittery or sparkly. So very classic and subdued.The palettes themselves also last for a really long time and come in a good size. Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner This is by far the BEST eyeliner I have ever used. I have been a faithful makeup wearer since I was about 12. I found this eyeliner several years ago and I now swear by it. It lasts ALL day. Never have I found another liner that stays on all day. I love the color choices too. Applying it with a brush took some getting used to but now I prefer that over a pencil. Dark Circles be gone! I have very bad dark circles under my eyes. I have had them my entire life and if you look at pictures of me when I was about 4 or 5 they are there and just as dark as they are today. I have tried products to lighten them but have yet to find one that actually works. I also have had several concealers and although they may work a little I was shocked at how well Bobbi Browns under eye concealer worked. I actually could not see my dark circles at all and that was in very bright light! I would never use anything else and although it costs just a little more then others it is well worth it! Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow I love this shadow- this is probably one of the best eyeshadows I've ever used. It makes your eyes pop and it is a very versatile shadow. The eye shadows have the perfect amount of shimmer to it. It's not too glittery, but very luminous. The shades are great and it smooths on like silk. The colors stay true and do not fade throughout the day. They blend easily and leave the lid smooth. They give you a natural looking shimmer with a hint of color. They have virtually no fall out and come in so many colors that do show up sheer but are still pretty pigmented! Best Makeup Brand I have used Bobbi Brown products for years. Her long wear gel eye liner and cream eye shadow are amazing. I often get compliments on my make-up and it really is all Bobbi. I have very fair skin and her foundation is just the right color. Her lip shine is the best "lipstick" for people who don't like traditional lipstick, but want something between a lip balm and a lipstick - its fantastic. bobbi brown long-wear gel eyeliner okay so for the longest time i've been using liquid liner, from cheap brands to expensive brands hoping that the eyeliner would not smear onto my eyelids or drip onto my waterline and get all gross and messy. my good friend introduced me to gel liners and i have been a faithful user ever since. Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder I don't use Bobbi Brown makeup much. The few items I actually like and use regularly from Bobbi Brown are its makeup brushes, not makeup. Whatever makeup I tried from Bobbi Brown haven't left much impression on me. Though Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder caught my attention. The concealer quest could wait as I've just found a perfect colour match in a pressed powder, which didn't happen very often or never happened at all? First thing first, this colour is nothing sunny at all. It's just a plain light beige. No matter. As long as the colour works for me, I don't care how it's named. When patted onto my arm with the puff, I couldn't see its existence and that's what impressed me the most. In the past, all the pressed powder I tried showed a PRESSED ON powder on me. I never like that PRESSED ON look as it's too fake and mannequin like. Therefore, I haven't bought any pressed powder in years. This pressed powder is very sheer. It looks as if there's nothing on me at all. There is no coverage whatsoever. It can be used for setting liquid products but the staying power won't be satisfactory because of its zero coverage. I feel it's a compact solely used for touching up and that's what it is for me. For that purpose alone, this is a great product as I believe a pressed powder should not give away the made-up look. The powder is very finely milled and it also feels silky to the touch and wears so light it is as if nothing on at all. I'd give the invisible featherlight texture a big thumb up! The packaging is the standard issue of Bobbi Brown - a reflective shiny black compact (attracts fingerprints & dust!) with a large viewing mirror (excellent!). It's all basic and boring. Bobbi Brown great colors.. Eleven years ago I went to have my makeup done for my wedding. A friend had advised me to go to a great makeup artist over at the Bobbi Brown counter. Well, I decided to give it a try and have not used any other lipstick for over 10 years. I just love the colors that Bobbi Brown but I also love the quality of the makeup. I have used different eyeliners and for the most part they have always smudged and after a couple of hours made me look like a raccoon. Typically, I?m not a fan of purple so I wasn?t terribly excited when I first saw photos of this palette. But after trying the shadows, I have to say I really, really like this palette. You, only better Bobbi Brown is known for her natural looks: using her products make it easy to be you, only better. That said, some of her products can be used to create a dramatic effect, yet nothing too outlandish with her color palettes! Bobbi Brown is my go-to makeup. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner- blac... I have tried Maybelline's gel liner and MAC's fluidline, all to lose to my oily eyelids. So I eagerly purchased the next best thing, Bobbi Brown's gel liner. I love the smooth, buttery texture compared to fluidlines more solid one. The color was black and I loved how it went on. I think it goes on a little thicker and softer than fluidline does, which I loved. This one also smudged on me and I was left with panda eyes again. I do use eyeshadown primers with all my liners and still get the panda eyes. In a way, I think these are a little less than the fluidlines, but still manage to leave me with a involuntary 'smokey eye'. Bobbi Brown Blush in Sand Pink With light olive skin I can easily look sallow when I am tired or when my skin is dry. This blush is a slightly muted, blue based pink that really brightens my face without using shimmery highlighters or bronzers that can look to orange and fake in the winter. I use a medium sized fluffy brush to swirl it on my cheekbones and across my forehead for a healthy flush that looks matte and natural for everyday. A little goes a long way! Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Compact... I've never had very good skin, my first breakout was at the age of 10! I've struggled to find makeup that looks natural, covers redness and imperfections and doesn't aggrivate my acne that I'm constantly trying to keep under control. I've been using the Oil Free Even Finish Compact Foundation, the Touch-up Stick and the Sheer Finish Loose Powder in Light Yellow for nearly 7 years now and I get complements on my skin all the time. It looks like I have naturally nice skin, it never looks made-up. And it's one of the few foundations that A. actually comes light enough for my skin. and B. doesn't break me out! Bobbi is the Best Bobbi Brown is the best makeup brand in existence. If you haven't tried the gel liner, you have to now. The bronze shimmer brick is the best tool in my cosmetics arsenal. It makes the perfect glowing bronze look. And you can use it for eyeshadows as well. Speaking of eyeshadows her nude palette is a staple that I use all the time. Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner I have tried so many eyeliners trying to find one that would not irritate and last all day. I have finally found it in Bobbi Brown's long wearing gel eyeliners. The little pots of color are highly pigmented and wear very well on my oily lids and teary eyes. It stays put until I take it off at night. It removes easily with soap and water or a make up remover. Bobbi's ultra fine eyeliner brush makes application a snap, but it isn't necessary to get a smooth line. I just prefer it. Finally found foundation and concealer I am loving Bobbi Brown's foundation and concealers. I have finally found a product that agrees with my skin and provides the coverage I need and lasts in the sticky and humid climate that I live in. They have definitely become my staples. Antigua Bronzer is THE perfect blush I was intrigued by the Antigua bronzer -- not as a bronzer necessarily -- but as a blush. So, I went to Saks to check it out. The color is much prettier in person than it looks in the BB photo. And it is uber-natural on the face. Finally, I've found a blush that gives that natural hint of color without making me look like a clown. I have slight tan right now -- I'm very pale in the winter -- and it looks perfect. Shimmer Brick!!! The Shimmer Brick is the best invention ever! During the summer you can throw some mascara on, brush shimmer brick on your cheeks and lids and walk out the door. If you're all done up add some shimmer by using it as a bronzer. Your cheek bones will be so defined people will ask if you've lost weight (happened to me!).
