MAKEUP 101 COMMERCIAL MADE ME BUY IT! I bought this product about a year ago after watching the video. dayum do those girls look like they have flawless skin. In the beginning i was a fan, but started to dislike it because it made my skin oily throughout the day and i felt like i had clay on my face (like it couldnt breathe). Love this brand I use the foundation in Medium as a cheek contour and it's the most natural looking contour I've ever seen. So easy to blend and it feels so light. It does seem to fade quickly but this might be because I don't use face primer. The lip gloss smells amazing and last for hours. The eye shadows are underrated, some of the colors are absolutely beautiful, especially when used wet like Graphite. I thought it was going to be a plain dark gray/charcoal color but when I applied it wet it looked like, well, graphite. Like I drew on my lids with a pencil. Eyeshadow and Eyeliner I am a big fan of Bare Escentuals eye makeup. It stays put really well, and doesn't crease after a long day. I have about 6 different colors of their eyeshadow, but had a heck of a time picking those 6 colors. Their options are all gorgeous and flattering on most skin tones. Can't find anything better My mom bought me a starter kit as a gift a few years ago. I can't find anything else even close to the quality. The prime time and mineral veil are absolutely necessary. The Only Make-up I wear Bare Escentuals is the only make-up I wear. It makes my skin look flawless, glowing, amazing, and most importantly very natural. It also feels light and not heavy once on. One would think a powder could not cover but it does so beautiful my skin almost looks like porcelin and in photos it is just a flawless look. I have very sensitive skin and none of the products irritate or cause redness. I recently have added their amazing powder eyeshadows and eyeliner to my collection and could not be happier. The eyeshadows have the right amount of shimmer without it looking tacky, and the eyeliner does not irritate nor does it smear and the two go so well together. Covers well for a Mineral Foundation i've been using bare minerals foundation for a couple of weeks now and i am impressed by just how well it actually covers my still problematic and acneic skin. it does provide a much sheerer coverage than liquid makeups, and i do reapply it about halfway through the day, but it always looks very natural on my skin. view more	Oct 7, 2011	30
pleaste take out the bismuth I love b.e. but my one problem with them is the bismuth oxychloride that they put in their foundations. it is a by product of lead mining and cause acne and severe allergies in some people. The Original and sitll the best There are tons of mineral makeups out there on the market. Bare Escentuals - also known as Bare Minerals - is the original. It's also still the best. The shades are true batch to batch. You'd think that would be fairly easy, but apparently not! Their colors have lasting power, too! I don't need to re-apply halfway through my day. Best Foundation I started using this in 2006 because I was in my 30's and still having breakouts that I thought was caused by makeup. I bought the starter kit and have been hooked ever since. I have tried other brands of mineral makeup and have been disappointed every time. Each time I go back to Bare Minerals. I have used their primer, lotions, brushes, make up and love them all! I have combination skin and this evens out my complexion and doesn't slide off before the end of the day. I have gotten so many comments on what I have done when I wear my full complement of BE products. I tell everyone I can about how great it is for your skin! I love how the eyeshadows can be worn dry or wet and yet they stay blendable. I no longer have the tell tale line of foundation at my chin. I always had that no matter how well I blended my foundation. It may cost more than the store brands but it also lasts longer as I don't feel the need to reapply several times a day. Try it! Multi-tasking eyeshadow I love this stuff. I'm not so much a fan of the foundation, as it really just enhances my fine lines, but I can't live without my mink eye shadow. This product is probably the best multi-tasking cosmetic I've ever used. I use it as a contour shadow, eyebrow makeup, and a wet or dry eyeliner. Its also perfect for different looks. A great smoky look is easy to achieve, as long as you're using the right brushes. I save that look for special occasions. I have an "everyday" application technique, too: I just shadow the top part of my eyes, not the bottom. Then, I use the shadow as a wet liner by dipping my eyeliner brush into water, then the shadow. I get a nice, clean, liquid eyeliner look. Huge fan of this makeup! I became a BE convert just over two years ago and now I have so many products that I am running out of space to keep them! Good but not the best I have been using this for a long time. Very good and color range is great. I love the original and did not like the Matte version at all and it did not control oil for me. how did i live before foundation primer?... I went into the Bare Escentuals store in Holyoke, MA the other day solely for foundation and the sales lady mentioned primer. I wasn't using any before but for some reason was scared to tell her that haha anyways I ended up purchasing a clear primer for under my foundation. What a difference!!! BE Fan for Life I have been using Bare Escentuals for many years now. About a year ago, I discountinued using any other cosmetics in combination with my BE. Since then, I have been using BE only. I really like how light the make-up is. I have very dry skin and liquids tend to cake on me. BE doesn't do this. I get a smooth, beautiful finish everytime. It also helps during the summer and prevents you from feeling like your face may melt off. It provides a smooth, even coverage every time I use it. There is however a learning curve when it comes to getting the right amount of coverage. That skill does develop with time though. There really isn't anything I dislike about the product. Good, but there are better alternatives ... I do love Bare Escentuals. I do. I became disillusioned when the tiny jars started multiplying. I am very pale and the lightest shades are still a bit dark, and the bismuth makes me itch, but I don't care for the matte. The eye shadows are usually rather sheer and fade on my oily lids even with a primer. I have found better less costly options with independent etailers. Not my favorite I work at Sephora, so I apply this to a number of clients every day. To be honest, it's not my favorite foundation. It does provide nice, even, natural coverage, but it's a very light coverage. It seems like to me that you have to have close to perfect, blemish free, even toned skin to use this. I recommend this to people that want a natural foundation or who have sensitive skin. But BEWARE. You may have sensitivities to this due to the bismuth in this product. Bare Escentuals addict for life! I've been using Bare Escentuals for the past 6 years and I am proud to say I'm a BE Addict for life! Before using Bare Escentuals, I had really bad acne, which I would try to cover with traditinal makeup, which would make it worse, and thus the cycle never ended until I used BareMinerals foundation. It has truely been life changing for me. BE's foundation is amazing b/c it offers unbelievable coverage (you decide how much) yet looks natural. It evens out all skin tones, makes my pores look smaller, doesn't setlle into lines, doesn't cake up, change color, or most importantly, doesn't make your skin break out. B/c thier foundation has an SPF and uses natural minerals from the earth, it's good for your skin too. My skin has never looked better and as a result, I can leave my house w/o foundation if I wanted. Bare Escentuals also has a ton of eyeshadows, blushes, eyeliners, lipsticks, and gloss and they come in every color imaginable. The eyeshadows come in several finishes and can be applied wet or dry. They blend like a dream too! Since the eyeshadows don't contain any fillers, they don't spoil, so as long as you use clean brushes, the eyeshadows won't go bad and you can keep them for as long as you want. As a collector of over 120 eye shadows, I haven't come across a color I didn't love! I only use BE makeup products on my face and will NEVER go back to traditional makeup. Will never switch Bare Escentuals is simply the best. The powder foundation is so flawless and light and lasts FOREVER! It seemed pricey at first but one container lasts probably around a YEAR. Same with the blush and veil and bronzers. I love the new containers too, they have a different way of dispensing the product that keeps it much cleaner than before. My skin has really cleared up since I switched to mineral makeup and I don't see myself ever giving it up. Have recommended it to many friends who are now sold! Bought the original version at Sephora And it fits my skin tone perfectly thanks to the saleslady's excelent help. When I use their foundation, you can't even tell that I have something on. I love that their products are 100% natural and I don't have to worry about anything clogging my skin. Deducted a star because when I use this foundation my face sometimes itches, I've read it's because of one of the minerals used only in the original foundation, it can cause allergic reactions in some. Not that great. I bought this soooooo long ago, maybe 3 years ago when I was new in the make up world, back then to me it seemed like a miracle foundation, but this was only because I wasn't able to compare to other foundations. Buxom lashliner from bare escentuals How did I not know about this stuff? Actually, with all the lash-enhancing products out there now, how did other brands not think of this sooner? Especially since you apply them all "as you would an eyeliner". I guess as a long-time MAC Blacktrack Fluidline fan, I've never felt the need to look elsewhere for a good black gel liner. I came across the Buxom Lashliner by Bare Escentuals on a trip to Sephora about a week ago. the little selection of gel liners claimed to be a "Lash Enhancing & Conditioning Treatment". Sold. Seriously, why didn't I own something like this already? Wearing black eyeliner daily, adding a lash treatment in the mix just makes good sense. And at $15 for a 2gram jar (MAC Fluidline is 3 grams, just to give you some comparison), I felt like that's reasonable for the quality ingredients and if it actually delivers. It comes in three shades, a black, brown, and a black with silver micro-glitter. I bought Leatherette, the black shade. So I've been using this product for a week straight, mainly looking at the actual wear and quality of the liner. It hasn't been enough time to see any benefits where the lash-enhancement is concerned. To my surprise it applied easily and has great pigmentation. And even better, sets to a smudge-proof finish. It does take a little longer to dry than fluidline. Other than that, it's very comparable to Fluidline. Then for the really rewarding part-- The formula contains natural ingredients and no parabens, which is always a little added bonus. It contains ingredients that actually stimulate hair growth as well as other great ingredients that support healthy lash growth and keep them conditioned. Bare Escentuals is the Only Makeup! I've been using Bare Escentuals foundation for years now. Since I have sensitive skin, the product is terrific. What is especially great are the number of shades to choose from. The spf is naturally in the foundation--not added in. Have never gotten sunburn on my face thanks to this makeup. Bare Escentuals Well Rested I have been a longer time user of the Bare Minerals foundation. I can't use any other type of foundation because it makes me break out. I just recently. I just discovered the Well Rested powder. I use it to set my liquid concealer under my eyes and it sets and brightens beautifully! I feel it makes me look far more awake and "well rested".
