I tried a friend's Medela pump before purchasing my own pump. I bought the Avent pump on a whim, since we own all Avent bottles. What a great choice-I was able to produce much, much more with the Avent than I could in a typical session with the Medela. Very comfortable and easy to use. My only complaint is the large number of component pieces that need to be disassembled and cleaned each use, but you get used to that.
