Tried one of their items and want to try... I use their papaya mask every time I got out of the shower. I was using it to deal with some discoloration left by previous pimples. Alba Hawaiian Line So I was looking around for a new facial cleanser since everything else seemed to be drying my skin out. and came across Alba's Hawaiian Line. Let me say, I love it. Makes My Skin Dry and Itchy A lot of people love Alba, but I don't; it just doesn't work for me. After using it for a few days, I started scratching my skin. My skin was so dry that I started getting wrinkles! Something in it was too strong for my sensitive skin, I guess. Smells Great! I love Alba products, especially the Alba sunscreen. My friend gave me some as a gift and it's great to have a suncreen that smells great - not like suncreen! I also use the Alba lip balm. I'm really picky with lip balm and chapsticks and this is one of the only four brand I will use. It is a little bit more oily than the Burt's Bees though, which is my favorite. This makes it need to be reapplied more oftern but almost gives more of a lipglossy look while protecting lips. Alba Terra Gloss I have this lip gloss in Blaze. It smells great. It isn't overly sticky. The color isn't very saturated so it takes kind of a lot of the product to get it to show up. Love the Hawaiian Line by ALBA I have completely switched my cleanser, toner, and moisturizer all the the Alba hawaiian line. I have extremely sensitive skin that breaks out in hives so I usually just skip the moisturizer altogether. But there are those days in dead of summer and dead of winter when I really do something. I found Alba on sale and decided I would try it. I feel in love the first time I used it. The fragrance is light and so is the lotion. It glides on smooth and leaves my face soft, not itchy. I find myself using it a couple times a week instead of just a couple times a year. I like it so much that use their toner, too because it doesn't dry my non-oily skin like others can. The daily cleanser works great and the Pineapple scrub smells fantastic. Worth the price and a little goes a long way. Love 'em! view more	Aug 1, 2011	25
Alba sunscreen While this sunscreen seems to do the trick, it is a bit like applying tar to my children. It is excessively sticky and stains terribly. Alba unpetroleum jelly is great! I started using Alba's unpetroleum jelly as an alternative to petroleum byproduct based products. I love this for my skin. I use it sometimes as a moisturizer at night. When I wake up in the morning I have baby soft skin. This does not clog pores and has no obnoxious smell. It has the same consistency as petroleum jelly, thick and viscous. I have used it on dry legs, callouses and even my bulldog's nose. She will inevitably lick some of it off and I feel good knowing that she is ingesting mostly coconut oil and castor oil. This is truly the best multipurpose moisturizer and I will continue to use it as long as they are making it. view more	May 10, 2011	37

Big bang for the buck! I know that a lot of people bulk at Alba products because they are more expensive then the one next to it. But they are so much better. Alba is a Naturally Excellent Choice! I use products from Alba's Rainforest line, Hawaiian line, and Marine Complex lines. I love the salt body scrub and the sugar body scrubs from the Hawaiian line. The salt scrub really sloughs off dead skin cells and the sugar scrub smells like desert and leaves skin super-soft. The facial scrub and cleanser from the Rainforest line really keep my dry skin fresh and moisturized. The Marine Complex moisturizers are great for keeping my skin bright and have natural age-defying properties. Their products are not much more expensive than regular drugstore brands, and the quality is comparable to department store brands I have used. All in all, a great company! view more	Oct 26, 2010	51
Alba Gentle Shampoo and Replenishing Con... Hair Type: Thick, Dry, Wavy, Colored, Confused Hair Shade: Brunette I am nervous about organic products. I've tried them in the past and found them to be underwhelming and easily outdone by their chemical counterparts. Not only that, most of them are pricey. When I went in to have my hair coloured and cut a couple weeks back, my stylist commented that my hair was dry. This was terrifying to me-- I invest so much in my hair and skin (time AND money) and it was dry? I had been using a Pantene deep conditioner as my daily conditioner as well as a Pantene moisturizing shampoo. I usually alternated this with use of Fekkai products, namely the Glossing line. Ontop of all this I also used a spray-in conditioner with silicones, a frizz serum (high in silicones natively), and my heat tamer. I immediately went into research mode, trying to find a product that would be gentle enough for my colored hair as well as moisturizing. I researched everything from silicones to sulfates, trying to learn what was considered harsh or not. I picked up the shampoo and conditioner from Alba earlier today and immediately went home to try out my purchase. The shampoo has a delicate lather (I assume this is due to Alba products containing a gentler form of sulfates than conventional products) and scent. The conditioner was extremely thick and rich and rinsed out clean. So clean, I didn't expect it to leave any soft, protective coating on my hair. I was braced for disappointment. I let my hair air dry atleast 80% before working a small amount of serum through my ends and blow drying with my paddle brush. I didn't need to finish it with any additional product. All I have to say is wow-- I don't think my hair has been this soft since I was in diapers. In literally just one wash, my hair went from gunky and crunchy to baby-soft and touchable. I can't stop running my fingers through it and spinning my head around! Will definitely be repurchasing this product, even at it's moderate price. view more	Sep 17, 2010	65
Alba Clear Enzyme Deodorant Stick - Tea ... I have been using Alba Botanica's Clear Enzyme Deodorant Stock in Tea Tree for about a year and a half and I can honestly say it is the best deodorant I have ever used. I have tried just about every brand of deodorant/antiperspirant on the market, including men's products and none of them beat the odor killing enzymes in Alba's product. The Tea Tree and lichen have natural antibacterial properties and work in combination to kill the odor causing bacteria. It also contains baking soda to absorb any additional odor. The Tea Tree itself has a nice cool, refreshing scent, good for both males and females. I also love that it is Paraben, Propylene Glycol and aluminum free, the major reason why I use it. On extra hot days, I usually sprinkle cornstarch powder over it to help keep dry, as it is not an antiperspirant. (I have yet to find an aluminum free antiperspirant). But even on hot days it keeps me smelling fresh. I have been able to find this product at Food Lion and Whole Foods. I would recommend this product to anyone! view more	Aug 20, 2010	74

Aloe and Green Tea Moisturizer I love the Alba Botanica Aloe and Green Tea Moisturizer. It is 100% vegetarian ingredients and they do not test on animals. It is very soothing on my face. I have acne prone skin and this does not break me out at all. A little goes a long way with this moisturizer so it lasts for awhile. facial wash, toner and moisturizer I use the facial wash, toner and moisturizer from the Hawaiian collection. I think it is ok. I purchased it with a gift card because it was way to expensive to purchase with my own cash. The wash foams well and doesn't take a full pump to be adequate. Honeydew Hair wash After using alba's cocoa butter lotion I decided I should try their hair wash since it wasn't very expensive. I was really looking for something that would get my hair clean and not weigh it down. This works wonderfully. My hair feels clean for several days after. My everyday moisturizer : coco butter ha... I first found this lotion at target and bought it because I liked the smell. It is now my absolute favorite body lotion, I use it everyday all over my legs, arms and back. It is the best! The bottle is a good size and lasts me about a month and I use a lot!
