Wednesday I was invited to a very exciting meeting / presentation, one I’m sure many BzzAgents would have loved to have been involved in, and indirectly, many were. Sam Clemens, Wizard of the Whiteboard, and Robert Go, 8^th level Intern, had assembled a formidable fellowship of Hive denizens.

The presentation was a whopping two hours, and in that time many a power point slide was shown, concepts were hewn by the blade of criticism, and new ideas conjured. The quest was long, but in the end fruitful. Regardless of our opinions, it was clear to all that Sam, Robert, and a number of other people had put a lot of time and thought in to this. I personally took part in a number of brainstorming sessions, and so did many BzzAgents— be it in focus groups or in polls. Naturally I can’t speak for everyone, but I will say that I am very excited about this new system.

“What’s it like?” you ask? Well, if you hadn’t already gathered by the subtle theme of this post, it’s a lot like Dungeons & Dragons. There’s experience points, leveling up, enchanted keys, and maybe if I can convince enough people: mythical beasts. Ok, that’s pretty vague, I apologize; I’m afraid if I say much more, this post will have little chance of being posted.

So, basically what I want to say is this: fear not! The new system, if it goes in to place, is not a hastily assembled token, but a full-fledged, D&D level of intricacy, system filled with goodies and generally neat stuff. I don’t think anyone will be disappointed, lest they be foul orcs of the pest realms!
